Pros:
Excellent value
Excellent location

Cons:
Difficult to find (in a car)
Showers do not have a bar or rack in them

I stayed at the Hostel Orange for 3 nights - the first two in a 6-person mixed dorm and the third in a 12-person mixed dorm. Despite the foot traffic I was able to sleep fine with earplugs, however, if you draw a top bunk (beds are assigned at check-in) you will feel every twitch, squirm, and wiggle of the person below you.

The location is EXCELLENT - right on Wenceslas Square next to many 5-star places. The restaurant Balouna below is amazing and you get a 10% discount on the already-cheap prices just for being a hostel guest. Tram and subway lines are a 2-minute walk, and it's probably a 10-minute walk to the Old Town square. Just be advised that if you're driving, it's not right on the curb and the signage is easy to miss, especially at night. There is a parking garage about a 10-minute walk away that we used, and the price for that was 900 crowns/24 hours.

For the price I don't think you could beat it.

Room Tip: The 12-person dorms were actually more spacious and "homey" than the 6-persons, which were...

The rooms are a bit small and the staircase is not so good if you have heavy bags but the beds are very comfortable and the bathrooms have been recently renewed and are very clean. Wasn't so lucky with the staff: one of them didn't speak good english and the other one was a bit rude.

Super friendly and helpful staff, they are willing to help you at any stage. Very good location, walking distance to the main attractions.
The room was clean and comfortable, facilities were good generally. The city map provided by the hostel is quite useful.
But it was a pity that they only have mixed dorms and I have to stayed with several men, which was not that convenient for me. Besides, I reserved a bed on their website in advanced, and I have also sent e-mails to confirm the prices. But when I arrived they asked for a price slightly higher than the booking price. I have argued with them but they did give any explanation. Be aware of this and bring extra money in case they ask for slightly higher price, especially if you want to pay by euro.

The staff were friendly and helpful and the rooms were extremely clean. For the first time travelling i did not have to wear flip flops in the shower! It was like a hotel room except cheaper and with 4 beds. It was a great location not far from a metro station and the hostel is located right in the centre of a main shopping square. What ruined my experience in prague was that the people were extremely rude and unhelpful especially at the main train station when my sister and i got yelled at by a very rude man when we asked for help finding our train. But the hostel itself was nice.

A great hostel in a brilliant location in the centre of Prague. Despite the central location, the hostel was quite quiet and we were able to get a good nights sleep. It was very clean and modern, the common room was great too - felt quite relaxed in there. I guess the only drawback is all the stairs - not good when you have had a few too many !!

Excellent location in Wenceslas Square - a bit tricky to spot due to a very small sign - if you can't see it, it's directly across from McDonalds (which has it's advantages at 4am too!), look for the Czech Restaurant sign & you've found it! Stayed 4 nights here & had a great time every night! It's more than somewhere to sleep - there is a common room with kitchen facilities & an open area on the roof, which people use to socialise in. Viktor does a very good job of managing both this and the Mango Hostel, he looked after my every need - very reliable & friendly service by him & all the staff. Car parking is available in the form of a lock-up garage, which is a bit pricey but worth it because it could not possibly be more secure. The only downside to this is that it is then tricky to get at your car if you want to go out of town, however this wasn't much of a problem because just saying in Prague was more than enough for me & I just got on the train for one excursion (to Kutna Hora), so it all worked out ok. A nice touch is that at Hostel Orange, you can help yourself to free oranges! :)

Nice hostel well located cosy rooms but clean. Really comfortable beds and a decent shower!

Only negative was the counter staff who were very miserable and it could be a little impersonal if travelling on own. Would recommend staying there though.
