“Great beer pub”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 August 2014

This place was recommended to us by the concierge staff at the Prague Hilton. We must have looked like beer thirsty Americans and they certain end sent us to the right place. Superb beer selections and some wonderful offerings on tap. Our initial intentions were to grab a couple of beers and then find a place to dine but the food here really looked good, so we ordered and we were not disappointed. Very good. We liked this place so much that we went back a couple more times and then again on a second visit to Prague. Make sure you go downstairs where a cellar bar and bistro awaits you.

Tip: this place is not in the touristy area's of Old Town or Wenceslas Square but still pretty handy to get to by the Metro. Also don't let the next door 'sex shop' deter your visit to the Pivovarsky Klub. You'll be glad you did.

“Good experience in a truly local Czech bar”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 August 2014

This place is a drinkers heaven. Surrounded by bottled beers from around the world, along with a constant of 6 keg beers on tap. The food is good and reasonably priced. This is well away from the overpriced tourist area and will take you a good 40 minutes walk through town from Charles bridge but it gives you just the thirst you need to make the most of this place.
Clean, non smoking , plenty of tables both upstairs and in the 'snug' downstairs too.
This was by far our favourite 'pub' during our stay in Prague.

“Great food and great beer!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 August 2014

Visited here after a trip to the nearby National Monument on Zizkov Hill and was very surprised and delighted with the reception and food we received.

The service was quick and attentive with a great lunch time menu offered with all main courses 105Kc (August 2014 prices) - I had a chicken schitzel with potatoes (really good) and my wife had goulash and dumplings (best dumplings she'd had in Prague she said!). Surprisingly they didn't have beers brewed at the sister pub (Pivovarsky Dum), nevertheless [I] had two other great beers on tap (from the five that were available).

This is a must stop place for any beer enthusiast with (I think) the greatest bottle beer selection in Prague. Even for non-beer lovers like my wife there is enough to please them with the great food on offer.

“Excellent selection of beers, good food, no smoking”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 July 2014 via mobile

This is my favorite pub in Prague. They always have 6 beers on draught (the types change but are always from various excellent (micro-)breweries) and some 200 more types in bottles. The pub is no-smoking, which is a great advantage in my eyes and the food is very good. The beer is pricier than in the usual Czech pubs but the prices are acceptable. Food is expensive but excellent, aimed at the beer and meat loving crowd. If you don't want to drink on an empty stomach but are on a budget, you can pre-fill yourself in a soup-restaurant next-door.
The biggest disadvantage of this place is that it's full in the evenings (generally Wednesday to Saturday) so you might not get a place without waiting. For groups of 4 or more definitely book ahead!
