We went there once during our holiday to have a lunch. At first we had a glass of beer - Kastanek (Semi-Dark special - Chestnut Honey) and it was excellent. My husband had pork kidney with rice and I chose Venison Goulash on Porter with Choice of Dumplings. Both of us liked it very much and in my case it was one of best Venison Goulash I have ever eaten. The prices are more than reasonable especially on the lunch menu.

We had a great meal here our first night in Prague. The menu had a variety of traditional Czech cuisine and the portions were huge. They had six or so Czech beers on tap and hundreds of bottle to choose from. The service was also very friendly and fast. Plus dinner for four with beer was less than $50!

We have been here 2 times during our holiday in Prague, last month. It wasnt recommended to us by anyone, we just looked at the reviews on TA. Even if it is a bit far from city centre - it is still not a problem, the taxi ride was 5 euro, very cheap.
The pub is great, they have a great beer selection and the food is very good. It looks so good, you are surrounded by bottles of beer from everywhere, all over the world. The service was first class - and the food was very tasteful, but not one of the best dinners we had in Prague.
I think this place is a typical Chech restaurant - traditional food(at its best), with traditional beer and great atmospheare. Perfect for groups of friends and for hanging out while drinking a great beer.
One more thing i need to add, the restaurant is very cheap. After drinking 6-7 beers and after eating the most expensive things in the menu(+ beer pancakes) - we were charged 25-27 euro depending on the exchange rate.
Great place, we loved it so much , it reminds us of the beer places at home ( in Romania ) with great food, atmosphere - a great place to visit and we will sure be back, if in Prague.

This place was recommended to us by the concierge staff at the Prague Hilton. We must have looked like beer thirsty Americans and they certain end sent us to the right place. Superb beer selections and some wonderful offerings on tap. Our initial intentions were to grab a couple of beers and then find a place to dine but the food here really looked good, so we ordered and we were not disappointed. Very good. We liked this place so much that we went back a couple more times and then again on a second visit to Prague. Make sure you go downstairs where a cellar bar and bistro awaits you.

Tip: this place is not in the touristy area's of Old Town or Wenceslas Square but still pretty handy to get to by the Metro. Also don't let the next door 'sex shop' deter your visit to the Pivovarsky Klub. You'll be glad you did.

This place is a drinkers heaven. Surrounded by bottled beers from around the world, along with a constant of 6 keg beers on tap. The food is good and reasonably priced. This is well away from the overpriced tourist area and will take you a good 40 minutes walk through town from Charles bridge but it gives you just the thirst you need to make the most of this place.
Clean, non smoking , plenty of tables both upstairs and in the 'snug' downstairs too.
This was by far our favourite 'pub' during our stay in Prague.
