“The Good and the bad”
Reviewed 12 July 2014

Good: Spacious, clean rooms. Staff very helpful. Quite close to metro and tram. About 10-15 mins walk to Wenceslas square. Shop next door is quite handy for supplies. Location not central to historical sites but not too far from public transport to get around city. Good/free Wi-fi.
Bad:Decor is a bit too Grim, dark and dingy, but very clean I hasten to add. View from my room was awful. Lifts stop between floors so luggage needs hauling on stairs. Breakfast bar was very strange with curried veg and greasy variations of sausage meat. Could have done better with decent fried eggs, bacon, sausage and toast. Breakfast bar in basement, quite unfriendly.
Most annoying thing was lack of tea/coffee making facility in room. Breakfast bar is closed after certain time in the morning. So, if you are desperate for a cup of tea/coffee, the next best option is Starbucks situated near the metro station.
Another annoying feature in the room was dressing table and mirror placed at two ends of the room. I had to use the hair dryer in the socket provided in the shower enclosure and a small mirror used for shaving instead to dry my hair because no power socket near mirror in room. Had to place makeup on floor near mirror for convenience.

This hotel was given 4 stars by other trip advisor travelers, but I feel it's only a 3 star hotel. The 1st drawback was the elevator. It stops between floors, so you either have to carry your luggage up or down stairs to get to your room. The 2nd drawback was the bed. It was very hard and uncomfortable. However, the large room was modern with plenty of storage and a nice bathroom. All of the staff spoke english and were polite and helpful with restaurants and directions. Breakfast was good the 1st two mornings then just o.k. the next two. The hotel is not very close to attractions, but not that far if you don't mind a bit of walking. For the money it's a nice hotel.

The staff was consistently nice and helpful. I would stay again based on this along with the large room that we had. Not to mention fast Wifi!

The hotel is very close to the metro and easy to get around. If you need snacks/drinks, checkout the store next door. Only Con: Breakfast was not on par.

It is,as the name says, "noir", black. But only as a color. My room was very big and full of light. Not noisy and wifi signal was strenght in all areas. It is in a good position for public transport, near I.P Pavlova metro station. It is a good choice for Prague and if you are lucky you can get one of their last minute offers. Real offers!

Nice hotel within a short walk from the centre of Prague in a location which had a few nice bars and restaurants nearby. The room was very clean, spacious with very comfortable beds and modern decor.Good shower and nice selection of toiletries and hairdryer were provided. The toilet was separate but unfortunately the light was not working.I did report this to reception on the first day but it remained out of action during the rest of our stay which was a bit of a nuisance. The breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice of food and drinks.Overall this hotel provided excellent value for money and I would use it again.

Nice little hotel with extremely comfy beds. Our room was very spacious and clean.
Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast had a good selection. Could do with a bar rather than a boring looking coffee room.
Close to public transport and easy walking distance to the river.
