Description: Aureole Fusion Restaurant & Lounge located just outside the centre of Prague is a very elegant and stylish restaurant where the cuisine is of the highest quality. Opened recently and found on the dizzying heights of the 27th floor of the Czech Republic's tallest building this is one experience which you will not forget easily. This restaurant pitches its aim directly at those who cherish delicacies of food and the most superb beverages, especially wine, to go with it. The restaurant itself encompasses a number of very specific dining areas including the Aureole Bar, two separate lounges, the Aureole terrace, and of course the primary dining area the restaurant. CUISINE AND SPECIALITIES: At Aureole Restaurant & Lounge everything is all about creating the most imaginative of delicacies lovingly prepared with imagination and care. To this task they have assembled some of the finest chefs in the country and their results are truly superb. Whether it be meat dishes which take your fancy, be that Fish, Beef, or Poultry you can be assured of something that brings the skills of culinary preparation to an art form. Similarly with their Soups, Entrees, Hors D'oeuvres and Desserts, you just know that this is dining of the very highest order. There is no hurry in sampling these tremendous culinary servings at Aureole, they serve and remain open long after most restaurants have closed for the night. ATMOSPHERE AND STYLE: The atmosphere is delightful right throughout the Aureole Fusion Restaurant & Lounge no matter which salon you take yourself too. As evening falls and the skies over Prague light up the views are quite magnificent. There can be no more imposing and impressive place in the city to be than here, in the presence of good company, where perhaps with your favourite cigar and a splendid cognac you can chat long into the evening. Aureole has its very own Wine-room also and here is an unforgettable opportunity to partake of some of their vintage wines, expensive of price, but unbeatable for taste and flavour. FURTHER INFORMATION: Aureole Fusion Restaurant & Lounge opens every day from 11am onwards. What sets it apart is that perhaps after a long business day, or perhaps some entertainment event like the opera or a play, they are still open for a long time to come and you can catch a taxi there and stay till 2am in the morning and probably later if you so wish. This establishment clearly sets the requests of its clientele as their highest priority. You will find them in the Prague 4 part of the city reached by crossing the great Nusle Bridge heading south to get there. Already they are taking orders for special occasions, Christmas and New Years being a fine example.

I would truly consider Aureole as an average restaurant. What is really great is the sitting area outside with unique view of Prague. Otherwise food is nothing really special and servers do not smile at all.

The view from more than 100m is exceptional. You can enjoy it through huge windows or on an open terrace equipped even with binoculars.

The décor is very modern, with a domination of black color. The interior is divided in a large dining room, two lounges (one of them smoking) and an outdoor terrace. Very interesting toilets, but too much for me… The domination of shiny black walls together with a lack of light made me feel bit anxious. I felt like in a labyrinth while trying to leave the place… Definitely do not recommend to claustrophobics!

The service was on top level, from the beginning till the end.

As for the main, the food, I was disappointed… In my opinion, on this level, all meals should be “no fault”, with a presentation and taste surprise on top. We tried 4 starters and 2 main dishes.

Good Tom Yum soup with fresh prawns, well balanced. Great warm Foie gras with mango and strawberries.

The tuna and salmon ceviche served with a strong “Jarsan” sauce. First quality fish was used, but personally I preferred the amuse bouche, where almost raw (very lightly smoked) salmon was used. The “ceviche” lemon taste together with the strong sauce made a “fight” in my mouth, not a “symphony”.

Very ordinary and no taste King crab salad. Just small bits of crab on a lot of Chinese cabbage. All you taste is just the cold and watery salad/cabbage.

Tofu in Gold curry – bit boring, just sweet and creamy. Would appreciate more flavors as a touch of acidity, bit of spice (hotness)… etc.

Lamb rack cutlets – the dish that disappointed me the most... Lamb meat is one of my favorite. I order and prepare it very often. This was one of the worst I´ve tried. Quickly unfrozen and lightly roasted. It did not have a bad taste but the texture was unpleasant and the appearance, once you cut the meat, even worse. Little fried oily potato nests as a side did not help…

I will happily have a cocktail in the lounge or on the terrace with magnificent view, but will not give a second try to dine there...

Went there for a dinner with another couple. The venue itself is cosy despite it's location on top of one of the few Prague's skyscrapers. Both wines and food were very good, the service excellent. We all had various Asian meals and were very satisfied.
The only doubt I have is whether the price level is corresponding to all the pluses. Have to say that I don't think so despite the very pleasant evening.

I LOVE the view from Aureole! In here you can not find Czech kitchen, but if you like for example Asian food, you will love it.
