Lovely cute tavern near the castle and close to several youth hostels in Prague 1. A wonderful log fire keeps the place beautifully warm. Staff were wonderfully friendly, and got to know us over the four nights we visited. Good, cheap beer at less than £1 per .5l and the snacks and bar food we had there was great. Will miss this place!

A lovely old medieval bar/ restaurant location on the up hill road to the castle. The bar maid came over as being unhelpful and abrubt when we first went in as there was confusion over the drinks ordered. After our 2nd beer at 9.30 at night when we were asked to pay and leave as we were the only people in the place at that time, and the staff wanted to close up and go home.

haven't been I the evening but have spent a few lunches (extending into afternoons) here, great atmosphere and rustic food. the food is no better or worse than a lot of other traditional places in Prague, but sat in the light of the roaring fire, it tastes all the better

It was a nice place with a bit of a show with belly dancer and fire and there were some noisy drunks in there which added to the feel of a medievil tavern. The food was the only let down as the beer and mead were good. It wasn't cheap and they added a service charge which most places don't.
