“Wonderful acoustics for an organ concert”

My wife and I attended an organ and violin concert at the church. The performance was 75 minutes long and cost about $28 US. Pieces from favorite composers were played. The church is beautiful on the inside, a perfect setting for a concert.

Beautiful baroque interior with copious gold guilt, spiral marble columns, with impressive altars and pulpit. Acoustics are awesome, sounds floating throughout.

One very irritating thing about Prague is all the flyers for classical concerts. However, just had a hunch the organ one in St Giles would be OK. How right we were. The organist was really good - Zuzanna Nemeckova, not world famous but still very, very good. Bach's Toccata & Fugue gets mangled by mediocre organists - this was spot on, on a lovely sounding organ in a good acoustic. Money well spent. Oh, and the church was one of the most opulent we saw.

We attended a classical concert performed by two excellent musicians (Jakub Jansky, violin and Ales Barta, organ). They played so well together, beautiful and emotional. The church is impressive and acoustics good. Blankets are provided and the duration of one hour is perfect considering the not the most comfortable benches. Warmly recommended!

This beautiful church is almost entirely Baroque, but it has some Gothic flavor to it (check out the portal on its southern side).
While the church does look nice on the inside, it really excels when it comes to music and acoustics and you should definitely consider attending a concert in it.
