Description: This is a Trendy Bar just off the old town square in Prague, right next to Caffreys Irish Bar. It is a cool hip Cocktail Bar who also serve American style food as we had the Burgers and they were lovely! The style of this place is just like the name 'BED', so the seating area all looks like large white beds which huge pillow, so you lie up on the bed after taking your shoes off and there is a bed tray for food and drinks etc. Cool, Hip place for a different experience. “5 star venue 1 staff waitress”
Reviewed 23 April 2014 via mobile

The venue and concept is very cool, cocktails were very good, beds funky and relaxed. However, that miserably curt service really lets down the place.

Notes for improvement:

Its rude to tell customers that service isnt included in the bill.

In an empty bar its rude to tell six people not to occupy any part of the next seat. If we are encroaching on a space that is to be filled move us at that time...otherwise its pedantic.

Do not ask customers to wait whilst you check we have left enough money for the bill. Become more efficient and discretely check whilst we're still seated...this avoids embarrassing customers or causing a scene.

Whoever owns this bar could have the best place in town if they reviewed the service and made tbis tbe number one recommended place. The only way to get recommendations is to wow customers !!!! Doesn't take much for staff to be friendly and Polite.

“Little bit of relax in central Prague”
Reviewed 11 April 2014

This bar is perfect stop, especially if you walk all the way from the Prague Castle, via Charles Bridge to Old Town Square. It's a bit walk, so to stop for some small relax with couple of tasty coctails and a good shisha in this bar is definitelly good idea! Bar is located 50m from Jan Hus monument. Drinks are not so cheap, but they do have "happy hours/cocktails for 99Czk(approx.4eur)" everyday until 7pm! You have possibility to sit or lay down and enjoy your drinks and shisha! There are 2 floors, bar is well designed! Staff is ok, but a little bit slow! Coctails were really good and there is wide selection of them. There is also possibility to pay in euros! And of course there is free WiFi, so you can update your status! ;)

“Let down by the service”
Reviewed 28 February 2014

Being our last night in Prague we felt that we should try something a little different from the normal pub. Passing BED lounge we noticed that they did Shishas and also a vast array of cocktails.

When we went in we were greeted by one of the waitresses who asked if we would like to sit upstairs or downstairs. We were informed that you couldn't smoke downstairs and as we wanted a shisha decided to sit upstairs (we later discovered that you can smoke shisha downstairs just not cigarettes, confusion due to language spoken).

I say sit in loose terms as we did in fact lay down. Upstairs is set up with a couple of tables but most of it is a bed style, with a lap tray. After walking around most of Prague that day it was really relaxing to be able to lay down and have a couple of cocktails, maybe abit too relaxing for the husband as I was sure he was going to fall asleep.

The shisha was very nicely made, not too strong or acrid and the varieties of cocktails available were good. I had a frozen strawberry daiquiri which was lovely and refreshing and a green eye, the husband even tried a couple of the gin ones and found them to be good aswell.

Having read other reviews on this pub I can see what people are referring to about the service, one of the waitresses was a little short with us but nothing that spoilt our time there and I think we even got a couple of laughs out of her at one point.

Would recommend it for the experience if you have never been anywhere like that before and also just to have a drink and relax after a full day of walking. Be aware you do have to take your shoes off so make sure you wear your best socks.

“Poor excuse for a bar”
Reviewed 12 February 2014

The concept is there, but it fails to deliver. The drinks are of a very poor quality and the service is terrible. We stumbled upon it and thought the drinks deals were fair (if the cocktails tasted good...). The deals conveniently were not available once you enter and the drinks are a rip off (for Prague standards). They used tinned fruit and olives and very budget spirits.

I would recommend Hemmingway if you want a great cocktail experience in Prague. Alternatively, there are loads of great wine tasting places.
