This hotel had a lot of character and history. It was very clean with a lovely view of the river. Price was excellent for location, which made walking everyehwere possible.
The double paned windows did NOT keep out all the noise -- as we heard muffled young, drunk adults and thumping music through them until about 2 am (I'm not sure if this improves when you are not there in the summer months). Though, being off of the main drag, we didn't hear any cars through the windows. The windows did NOT keep out all the light, so it woke us up about 5:30 am every day when the sun rose (this is pretty common in europe, a little eye mask would have done the trick).
The shower head holder was broken - so we had to do the classic euro shower, holding the handle with one hand, soaping with the other (minor inconvenience). Bed was very comfortable and the AC was a lifesaver with the summer heat.
The parking was nearby at their sister hotel, about four blocks away. I would not take anything more than a compact sedan down there to park (tight turns, small spaces), but it was secured with a door.
While I have spent time writing the "issues" with this place, I would still stay there again, as we paid about $100/night with breakfast included (which was quite large) so it was a great value.

Dear ElieIng, Thank you for staying with us and taking time to share your feedback with Tripadvisor members. I agree with you that our sensitively renovated historical building is definitely something special what other properties in Prague cannot offer. I hope you will come and visit Prague again in the future. In the meantime, safe travels. Martina & Team

Really good location close to the charles brigde and the old town square.

A lot of noise from outside pretty much all night, there is a big disco just across the road, and one loud pub in the same buildings as the hotel. Also there's a busy road between the hotell and the river so we did not have one good nights sleep our whole stay. We were 3 couples in our group and had rooms in different places in this hotel and we all agreed on the noise beieng big issue.

Rooms are awerage, cleaning could have been better. There was also an issue with the showerhead holder in our room but that was fixed when we told the staff. Aircondition seemed to live it's own life and changed set temperature at random it seemed.

Breakfast was ok, but staff was slow to refill food that ran out, bacon was never refilled so better get there early for egg and bacon.

Not coming back to this hotel.

Just returned from a short break to Prague with husband and 22 year old son. Junior suite was excellent , giving us all privacy and bonus of a large shower room and a large bathroom.Hotel was tasteful and staff in reception very helpful. Central location meant we could walk everywhere , enough to keep us busy, beautiful city.Very good value for money, would return.

Room Tip: We were on 4th floor , away from noise. Air conditioning meant we didn't need to open window ,tr...

A very pleasant hotel, decorated in an ancient style with cozy atmosphere. A little bit worn out at the common areas, but the rooms are fresh and clean. Very good service and food and very good location for tourists.

Room Tip: pick a room with a river view :)

Having read other reviews on Tripadvisor (after we'd arrived) I've noticed that people are either delighted by this hotel or appalled and the simple reason is room location. The hotel is very clean and beautiful. My children's room (307) overlooks the square at the front of the hotel. My room (315) overlooks the river. You actually can't see the bridge because a building is in the way. My room is slightly smaller than my children's room but we thought as we had the 'view' it would be the better room. WRONG!!!! By 9pm all we could hear was the thud, thud, thud of the nightclub (the building that is blocking our view of the bridge). This went on for many hours. Later in the night/ morning all we could hear was people leaving the nightclub screaming/ shouting/ singing. My advice is to bring earplugs in case you are allocated a room with a river view. If possible, request a room overlooking the square because other than the constant noise during the night the hotel is very good - excellent location etc.

Room Tip: Request a room overlooking the square - unless you are a nightclubber the noise will disturb you ALL...

our horror story started when the hotel's driver was suppose to pick us from the airport and after 45 min waiting with 2 kids which one got sick , we got a taxi and went to hotel only to find out our prepaid royal suit room is not available!! the receptionist looked like its not his problem and didnt consider we traveled all this way and are tired with a sick kid! he said we should go to another hotel they booked for us without giving us another option , he got us a taxi (on hotel's charges) to go to the new hotel and when we got there the taxi driver asked us for money since the hotel did not pay him!!!! i paid a fortune for 2 nights in that hotel royal suit and ended up in another hotel a not so good room far from the attraction, this all happened without an apology from this damn hotel!!! a true nightmare, put me off of the whole country ...

We are in room 115, which would be a nice river view room, as long as you don't care about sleep. We did not know about the nightclub located one floor below, which is loud enough to ensure there will be little sleep until the early hours of the morning. We asked to be relocated...maybe tomorrow, we've been told. I can understand street noise - that's out of their control. The nightclub is a known factor that needs to be clearly disclosed.

Room Tip: Request a room far,far away from the nightclub!
