“Some like it hot”
Reviewed 4 September 2013

Visited this hotel in June this year with my wife and had a great time. The weather was not as hot as normal but we found it very comfortable. It is ideally situated close to Charles bridge and within 15 minutes you can access most sightseeing places. Will return and would recommend for a holiday. Well done CBP.

The hotel was very close to the citycenter and the Charles Bridge, the staff is very friendly and happy to help you with touristic information, or other informations. The breakfast was also good and the rooms were very spacious and clean! I would defenitly recommand it!

Room Tip: we had the royal suite because we were 4 persons, great room!

This hotel was in the best location. The room we had was fabulous but we had ordered a junior suite. The staff were so friendly and worked very hard to ensure that your every request was answered. They recommended us to local restaurants and suggested sites to see. The bed could have been a bit softer.

Room Tip: There is a nightclub in one of the side streets so try to get a room away from that. The only night...

The hotel is very well located, 2 min walk from the Charles Bridge and 5 to the Old Town Sq. I didnt need to take any public transport during my visit as everything is walking distance once you are in the center and the hotel is in the heart of the Old Town.
We got a nice room and super spacious with high ceiling and massive windows. Confy beds and all clean.
Breakfast was included and it was good, with a good selection of cold and hot food.
The staff was quite helpful and friendly giving us directions and tips on where to go, eat, etc.
Specially Irina, the night receptionist was really nice and whne she saw that we had a very early check-out (6am) she prepared some sandwiches and fruits as breakfast box for us without us asking while we waited for our taxi.

Overall a great hotel, in an amazing city... 100% recommended!!

I arrived quite late in the evening and was welcomed by a lovely older gentleman and directed to the room which my mother was already in. On first impressions - the room was faultless! Clean, huge bedroom, separate (large) bathroom and a 'dressing' room (luggage storage/drawers/wardrobe/fridge). The room had a 'courtyard' view.. which may indeed be the truth in time... but not quite yet. No big deal - we didn't choose this hotel for the view!
The location was fantastic, right near the bridge and a passage into the heart of the old town! Breakfast was pretty good, variety for the numerous differing cultures in the breakfast room.
The problem with this hotel was the noise from the surrounding bars/clubs. 3 out of 3 nights I was awake at various stages between 1 and 4am listening (pretty clearly) to a DJ playing rubbish music and talking over it .. alot!, So.. Overall - if you like a sleep... I don't recommend my room 102 - maybe the others are quieter.... My own fault as I didn't see many reviews before we stayed - referring to the noise.

Room Tip: DO NOT stay in 102!

Greetings to Nice,
I am happy to hear you did enjoy your stay with us here in Prague this summer. We are glad that you like the hotel amenities and the location just few steps from Charles Bridge.
Please be assured that the Hotel surroundings are safe. Prague is a world class destination as other cities like London, Paris and New York where Bars are located around the city centre.
All the best! Martina & Team

This hotel had a lot of character and history. It was very clean with a lovely view of the river. Price was excellent for location, which made walking everyehwere possible.
The double paned windows did NOT keep out all the noise -- as we heard muffled young, drunk adults and thumping music through them until about 2 am (I'm not sure if this improves when you are not there in the summer months). Though, being off of the main drag, we didn't hear any cars through the windows. The windows did NOT keep out all the light, so it woke us up about 5:30 am every day when the sun rose (this is pretty common in europe, a little eye mask would have done the trick).
The shower head holder was broken - so we had to do the classic euro shower, holding the handle with one hand, soaping with the other (minor inconvenience). Bed was very comfortable and the AC was a lifesaver with the summer heat.
The parking was nearby at their sister hotel, about four blocks away. I would not take anything more than a compact sedan down there to park (tight turns, small spaces), but it was secured with a door.
While I have spent time writing the "issues" with this place, I would still stay there again, as we paid about $100/night with breakfast included (which was quite large) so it was a great value.

Dear ElieIng, Thank you for staying with us and taking time to share your feedback with Tripadvisor members. I agree with you that our sensitively renovated historical building is definitely something special what other properties in Prague cannot offer. I hope you will come and visit Prague again in the future. In the meantime, safe travels. Martina & Team

Really good location close to the charles brigde and the old town square.

A lot of noise from outside pretty much all night, there is a big disco just across the road, and one loud pub in the same buildings as the hotel. Also there's a busy road between the hotell and the river so we did not have one good nights sleep our whole stay. We were 3 couples in our group and had rooms in different places in this hotel and we all agreed on the noise beieng big issue.

Rooms are awerage, cleaning could have been better. There was also an issue with the showerhead holder in our room but that was fixed when we told the staff. Aircondition seemed to live it's own life and changed set temperature at random it seemed.

Breakfast was ok, but staff was slow to refill food that ran out, bacon was never refilled so better get there early for egg and bacon.

Not coming back to this hotel.
