“Not worth a price! ”
Reviewed 14 May 2014 via mobile

It's hardly a 10 minute visit and the amount charged is not worth it! If you are really into Jewish history them it might be worth it - if not, this can be skipped. There are many more worthwhile things to do.

“Really not much to see unless you are into Jewish history”
Reviewed 26 April 2014

This is barely worth 15 minutes of visit and it is included in the jewish walk package, but if you don't need to go, I would recommend against it. More worthwhile is Spanish synagogue and cemetery.

“a lot of tradition and history, expensive to see”
Reviewed 24 April 2014

one of the oldest synagogues in europe, very very small still interesting place. this synagogue is included in the more expensive tour, but it's not included in the other tours (it's the only thig that misses from the other tours) you have to pay 180 crowns more for an adul to see it.

if you dont want to spend a lot i advise you to sckip this one, another 4 jewish cult places are included in your visit, and this is only the oldest one but not the most beautiful.

it's very close, 100 m away from the old jewish cemetery, the ceremonial hall and klausen synagogue.

also a little about the ceremonial hall, i couldn't find it on tripadvisor, here you will find a lot of info, documents and some objects related to how the jewish treat their dyings and the burial ceremony.

“Worth a quick stop”
Reviewed 2 March 2014

This little Synagogue is worth a quick stop, and if you are touring the Jewish Quarter you should include it, it will round out your experience. Just a couple of blocks from the Jewish Cemetery. It is usually crowded, as it is a very small building, so don't be put off by that. It is refreshingly simple and understated, and is all the more interesting for being so very old, and yet still an "active" or "working" synagogue. A unique experience.

“A sense of history”
Reviewed 12 February 2014

There is a real sense of history in this little synagogue. Quite plain on the outside, inside it is simple, unadorned, and surprisingly small, but very atmospheric. It has a long and interesting history, and the guided tour was excellent, though necessarily short.
