Whisky presentation in hotel Le Palais Prague - Glenfiddich single malt Scotch whisky
I had nice experience in hotel Le Palais, Prague! Special Thanks to Andrie Künsli F&B and Josef Brda Executive Chef. These two guys helped me much
We tried to pair whisky Glenfiddich 12yo, 15yo, 18yo with the food and I think we did it well!
All the guests enjoyed the degustation which was enhanced by the atmosphere of library, the last room with a fireplace, in the foyer.
Thanks a lot again and I look forward to the next time!

We stayed here for a few days in August 2013. It is a little bit out of the way, but once you find your bearings, it is very easy and quick to either walk into the centre or jump on a tram or the underground.

Breakfast is a huge choice of just about everything you can think of and is included in the price. Mini bar is free and is restocked daily. The huge beds are incredibly comfortable, and the pillows are like soft clouds. The spa is amazing too.

Reception were incredibly helpful, and also arranged some excursions for us, which were also very good. We highly recommend the evening trip with local food and dancing. They collect you from your hotel, take you to the venue, wait, and bring you right back to your door. Brilliant service!

Just one disappointment, though, the bar ran out of amaretto on the first night (we only had 1 shot each). The barman told us that it would be replaced for the following evening. It was not. We were told it would be replaced for that evening. Fail. The next evening, they STILL had not replaced it, so they lost out on our business for drinks purely because they failed to replace that bottle of Amaretto, which, for a 5 star hotel, is pretty unacceptable.

Apart from that, we cant fault this hotel at all.

The hotel staffs make u feel so welcome and nothing is a problem to them. They really know how to treat their guests well. The room is very nicely decorated and best of all the mini bar are for free. The king size bed is really comfortable. If u enjoy fine dining, then the hotel restaurant Le Papillon serve really good food though it's a bit pricey. The location of the hotel is perfect only 15 minutes walk to the city centre and it's situated in a quite area. To go to the old town of Prague, take tram number 22 near the hotel. If I ever return to Prague, I will definitely stay at Hotel Le Palais again.

This is not just a hotle, it is an experience. The staff do everything to make you feel at home - professional in the extreme, I say as someone who has travelled a lot on business and stayed in countless hotels.
A particular thank you to the new restaurant manager, Miroslav whose discretion, professionality and humour would be difficult to beat. Five start professional.

Equally, Jose on reception who did everything to help with our arrangements from changing dinner appointments to booking theatre tickets. Nothing was too much trouble.

It is professionals such as these that make the hotel Le Palais stand out head above the others. Many thanks and I shall be back soon.
Colin

Thank you for an amazing 3 days at Le Palais! We had a fantastic experience at this hotel. The hotel is absolutely lovely, well looked after, high quality furnishings and decoration and very attentive, helpful staff. We felt very spoilt as nothing seemed like too much trouble! This hotel made our trip to Prague really special. It was my husbands birthday and the staff all made a point of looking after us well. There were champagne and chocolates in the room, specially decorated dinner table, champagne as an aperitif before our meal and lots of well wishes. The hotel restaurant served a fine selection of meals and the waiter and other staff were very knowledgable and helpful. The breakfasts were great with lots of choice. The quality of the room was excellent with attention to all the details. We appreciated the hotel car available to take us to a restaurant in the old town one night and the shuttle service during the day.
This is the best hotel we have ever stayed in- thanks for a marvellous time.

Our first visit to Prague and very nice too. We chose this hotel after reading the reviews. We have stayed at many hotels over the years, from two stars to 5 stars. Most have been decent and generally pretty good. So, what about this hotel? From the minute of walking in we liked it. The staff were really helpful, polite and unlike some comments I have read, they were able to answer all our questions and were quick to volunteer information but without being over bearing. In all the staff were professional. Our room was clean, airy, and comfortable. The restaurant we only used for breakfast. There really is no room for complaint here. Breakfast was plentiful, with a great choice to please all tastes. The waiting on staff, were attentative, polite and smart, like the rest of the staff. Now, one good aspect was the free mini bar, which was topped up every day and also the free shuttle service into town if you wanted it. All in all, this is a really nice hotel, very clean, and almost reserved in its ambience. The only drawback if I can call it that is that it is a fair distance from the town centre and all the attractions, but having said that I think it would be out of place amongst the grockles…If you want, peace and quiet, a bit of luxury, decent food, and a place to relax, go for this hotel, but be aware, it’s a long walk into town. We really enjoyed our stay here. As for Prague, well, a nice place, but like most major cities, it has its tacky image. Souvenir shops abound and are the same, town centre restaurants offer pretty much the same fare and it gets boring. Spread your wings a little, get out of the town into the suburbs and you might see the real Prague and meet the real Czech folk like we did…after all we have enough Subways, McDonalds, M&S, Debbenhams, TESCO, Liddles over here…. Mind you Hard Rock is worth a visit…just for the music….

My wife and I, along with another couple, stayed for 3 nights in this lovely hotel in a quiet area of the city with several local Czech restaurants within a 2 block walk. A 10 minute cab ride or walk takes you to the old town. Our room(#111) was spacious, clean, well appointed and with a large bath/shower. There was plenty of natural light.

Our concerns were solely related to service. We arrived late afternoon after a long tiring travel day and desired to have dinner in their restaurant. We were told there was no room which was later modified to tell us that we could dine at 9:00. We told them that was too late and 10 minutes later were told that 7:00 would work. We had an excellent, albeit expensive, dinner but were the only ones in the dining room. It appears we could have eaten at anytime. The hotel missed our wakeup call the next morning which was a real inconvenience. A bigger problem that day was that after 6 hours of great sightseeing, we returned at 4:00 to find that our room had not been made up. Inexcusable. The same thing happened to the other couple the next day.

Without the service issues this could be 5 stars. too bad

Room Tip: Room 11 was very nice.
