After careful research of the hotels in Prague my partner and I chose this hotel due to its proximity to the centre of the city and the excellent Spa and fitness centre advertised on its website. We booked 4 nights to ensure we could have a mixture of tourism and relaxation. On arrival we checked in and were casually informed that the SPA / fitness centre was closed for renovation, although massages were still available. . We had not been pre warned and were extremely disappointed. No alternative was offered to us, i.e. a deal with a sister or local hotel to use their Spa. Nor were we offered any upgrade to "soften the disappointment" Indeed when we entered our room there was an apology card stating that they hoped that we would accept their "gift" as an apology - 2 apples and 4 toffees... I'm not joking. I booked a "deluxe" room - the bed was rock hard, the tv was from the last century and for a 5 star hotel not to offer satellite tv was amazing. BBC World was all the UK channels on offer. The bathroom was very nice with a wonderful heated floor.
On the positive side the restaurant staff were delightful, very professional and friendly.
Overall the hotel experience was disappointing and to not be informed prior to travelling that the SPA was out of order was very unprofessional on their part,
I will chose elsewhere to stay if I return to Prague again.

This is a lovely boutique hotel in Prague. The hotel is an old Palace, and has been very tastefully refurbished with lots of brass sculptures and the the original features. It also has a vey personal feeling with the staff very welcoming. There is shuttle to the centre but it is easily reached by tram or taxi.

Our experience at Le Palais reflected much that has already been said in the positive reviews here. The staff are the highlight of this hotel and were faultless in their manner - always respectful, cheerful, helpful and happy to oblige in any way they could. The tour on arrival was very helpful in making us feel at home and we made good use of the bar menu - the G&T's will remain in my dreams for some time and their soups are utterly delicious. I stopped having soup anywhere else, since nothing could live up to Le Palais. The restaurant food was first class - meat that really melted in the mouth, full of flavour. We were very well attended during our meal and were treated in a way that made us feel special and valued. Of all the places in which we ate in Prague, nothing came close to the food at Le Palais.
We had a smallish double room, but it was adequate in size and very nicely decorated and the bathroom was lovely. The bar and library were lovely areas in which to sit and enjoy a peaceful drink or bite to eat and the sculptures, large and small, scattered around the hotel brought great joy to behold. They added a very special touch and made me smile.
A treatment in the spa was very enjoyable, again with attentive and friendly service.
In a peaceful area, the hotel was a nice respite from the busier parts of town at the end of the day. The complimentary minibar was also a refreshing and welcome change.
Use of the hotel car to and from the opera was super, taking away any anxiety about weather or finding taxis.
This hotel was a perfect base from which to explore Prague, with the highest level of friendly and helpful support from staff. We would certainly return here if visiting Prague again.

Room Tip: ours was the 'superior' double room - presumably the smallest, with only one chair, so if tw...

Stayed here for our 30th wedding anniversry for a long weekend. From the moment we arrived till the moment we left, we enjoyed our stay. The location is great, not too far out, but far enough to ensure peace and quiet. The room we had (a double) was not huge, but very very comfortable, lovely bathroom and great facilities, including a free mini bar. The public rooms are lovely and also comfortable. Breakfast was a huge choice and very well prepared. BUT the biggest factor to us was the friendly attitude of the staff. Without fail they were warm, helpful and attentive. Nothing was too much trouble and we felt looked after at all times. I thoroughly recommend this hotel, it was great!!

Just returned from a weekend at the wonderful Hotel Le Palais. We had a very enjoyable time in the City and found the hotel and staff excellent. Nothing was too much trouble and they made us feel very special. Had a very enjoyable meal in the hotel restaurant on our first night, attentively waited on by Mirek and Thomas, who both went to so much trouble to explain the food available and the wine options.

All of the staff were very polite and helpful and in particular the Breakfast staff, who waited patiently for us to finish our very leisurely breakfast as we worked our way through the varieties on offer.

Would thoroughly recommend this to anyone wishing to visit Prague.

I would recommend a visit to the restaurant which has amazing service. Nothing is too much trouble for Mirek Hudek, the Restaurant Manager. Mirek makes a first class meal (compliments to the chef) into such a special experience. Mirek and his staff catered for my gluten free intolerance and my husband being diabetic without any problems. I was given a selection of three gluten free breads which were delicious, the best I have ever tasted and had clear advise, in faultless English, regarding what was suitable for my diet. What a great start to our holiday! Also, I had e-mailed the hotel advising them of our anniversary and was delighted to have a bottle of sparkling wine, apples and chocolates in our room!
