We had a great time staying in this hotel while visiting Prague, my 3 daughters had a terrific time with the Junior Suite layout, the room was very big compared to what you expect in Europe. Service not the best but OK, people in Czech Republic are not really into customer's service, they are all a little rude. The hotel was very clean and comfortable, some minor things that need their attention but overall the hotel was nice. Location is perfect, you are close to the main attractions, shops, restaurants, etc. Breakfast in the hotel very good, we liked it a lot.

I stayed with my family for eight nights, the location as I mentioned in my title is really great, since its so close to the old town square where the astronomical clock is , the shops, coffee shops and the major hustle and bustle .
The hotel is clean and comfortable, the breakfast has all the varieties of food that satisfies different tastes.
One thing that bothered us though, was the blond waitress in the hotel coffee shop attached to the lobby who covers the evening shift, she was arrogant and rude to us, I don't know why!

Room Tip: I really don't know how are the other rooms but room 306 was bigger with bigger bathroom as well...

This is actually a 5-Star hotel that has slipped only a little...no air-conditioning and there are rooms in several buildings with complicated directions on getting to them...
that said, the location couldn't be better...hotel is right on a pedestrian-only area near Old Town and a 10 min walk to Astrological Clock/etc...breakfast was very good and plentiful...there is a Starbucks within a 5 min walk, too...
I would definitely stay there again...

Room Tip: Ask for a room in the main building...if the weather is warm, rooms on the lower level have better v...

We stayed in the Ambassador hotel in Prague from July 23 till July 29 2014. The Hotel location is perfect to most popular places like the Old town which is only a 5min. walk and to all other popular sites in the Prague area. So for location I would give it 5 stars. The hotel is an old style hotel and is renovated also to the old stile. All amenities are in good condition. Our room had a bath with no shower only a bath with a hand type spray shower which is not convenient to all that are used to a normal standing shower. The pillows were old and very flat so we had to ask for additional pillows which we got with no problems. The breakfast was rich & good and the staff was very helpful. Bottom line, this is a 3 star hotel in good condition and the location is perfect.

Room Tip: Ask for a regular standing type shower

The location is wonderful, just 10 minutes walk to old town. There is supermarket "Albert" in walking distance. I'm afraid I can't say that it is 5 star hotel, because the building is old, room was not clean, fridge was out of order. Also, the structure of the building is weird。My room was located in 1st floor, but I had to go up to 2nd floor, then down stairs to my floor.

On arrival at this hotel on Wednesday 9 July my expectations were high - soon to be disillusioned. We are part of a tour group of 39. The hotel is on Wenceslas Square, great for seeing all the sights and public transport, also as we discovered, for live entertainment. Our room was on the 3rd floor at the front in the Zlata Husa part of the hotel. Very dated, hot, extremely noisy even with windows tightly shut and when the live music started the whole room vibrated and we had to shout to each other across the room. Enquired at reception how long it would be going on for and was told 9 pm. Returned to hotel at 9.30 and it was still going on, asked to move rooms but receptionist not sympathetic, felt like we were being a nuisance, he said it would finish at 10 or the police would come and shut it down - it did finish at 10 thankfully. Receptionist said it would also be on for the following 2 nights of our stay but only until 7 pm - lies, finished at 10. Also on first night the bed covers were turned down and a cheap chocolate placed on pillow. Opened bedside draweres only to find an old lollipop and, of all things, a tube of lubricant! After fellow travellers telling me that other guests were bringing prostitutes into the hotel I shouldn't have been surprised. It just shows the rooms are not cleaned and checked properly between guests. For a 5 star hotel it left a lot to be desired. The bath towels I would only use as rags, the bathroom floor was dirty as were the surfaces in the bedroom. The staff on reception not very helpful or interested. The breakfast not that brilliant though the pancakes were good. No tea/coffee facilities in room. Toiletries in bathroom quite good. Free wifi excellent. Prague itself we will return to, this hotel definitely not.
