Just returned from a wonderfull trip to prague, staying two nights at the jalta. check in was very good with pleasant staff, room being available eariy a bonus. this hotel is located right in the middle of wencelas square ,ideal for old town and charles bridge and many other sights.
Dont expect many luxaries that you would find in many five star hotels as this is not a five star hotel. But what you will find is a pleasant small friendly hotel with good friendly staff.
Hotel has a nice restaurant / bar called como which was nice.Only negative for me was the breakfast which if you like eggs ,bacon sausages was far to cold and needs to be addressed. All in all a pleasant stay.

THe hotel is right in the middle of Wenceslas Square, so it is very convenient for us to walk around the square, old town, charles bridge etc..

Staff if FRIENDLY, room is great BUT be warned, its two single bed to make a queen sized bed - BAD IDEA IF YOU'RE COMING FOR A HONEYMOON. Breakfast at COMO restaurant is nice but the same food everyday.. we stayed for 4 nights.

They told us mini bar was included YEAH RIGHT. You can drink the two cans of coke and mineral water but that's it. we were charged £30 for 2 bars of chocolates and 3 cans of peanuts.. hehhhh????

Internet connection was super fast. IMPRESSIVE.

Arrived and there were friendly staff to meet us. There was a bottle of champagne waiting for us in the modern and lovely decorated room. The room overlooked the square which was no problem at all, infact it was fascinating to watch the locals and tourists pass by. The bathroom was also modern with complimentary toiletries. The breakfast buffett was amazing with everything you could possibly imagine, definatley worth booking B & B as it sets you up for your day of sightseeing. We ate in the restaurantt on the first night and the food was cooked to perfection. Perfect location for sightseeing, although you need to take a good pair of walking shoes. We would definately recommend this Hotel and would definately return maybe for longer next time.

We have just returned from a very short (unfortunately) trip to Prague. We stayed in the jalta which is in an excellent situation and in walking distance of many of the attractions. The rooms were of adequate size, nicely decorated and very clean. The hotel staff were all very pleasant and happy to help and spoke good English. The buffet breakfast was of excellent quality and plentiful! Would highly recommend.

My husband and I decided last minute to go on a 3 day city break to Prague for his birthday. We did not want to spend a fortune as we are going to Mauritus in September, however we usually stay in 5* hotels and basically wanted to stay somewhere 5* luxury for 3* money!! The Jalta fitted this perfectly! This hotel is very modern and stylish (although wouldnt really descibe it as a 'trendy boutique' hotel). It is in a great location as it is 10 minutes walk to most of the main sites (ie. Charles Bridge, Old Town Square etc) and 3 mins walk to the main shops etc.

Hotel reception is simple, stylish and modern with charming, smiley, friendly helpful staff. Could not be more welcoming. I requested a quiet room, not overlooking the main, noisy road and was told we had already been allocated a room overlooking the back, which was very quiet.

The room was a nice size and very modern (no old fashioned furniture!) as was the bathroom, with L'Occitane toiletries. Lifts worked perfectly, when you worked out how they worked!, and were very quick and efficient.

We only ate breakfast in the hotel, which was excellent. High standard of food, hot and very large selection of practically everything you could imagine for breakfast ! Lovely huge selection of many types of pastries and rolls, all cereals and full English, plus cheeses etc... The restaurant alwasy looked really full and buzzing at lunchimes and evenings which is a good sign (restaurant has frontage onto the main road so you can see it fully as you arrive and leave the hotel)

The concierge was sweet, smiley, charming and very helpful and recommended great restaurants to us.

The only negative experience was that there were some disgustingly behaved drunk men on a stag night (big now in Prague, unfortunately) staying on our floor who made a massive amount of noise from about 3am onwards on 2 of the 3 nights. The hotel staff attempted to quiet them but didnt make much difference. We complained and the reception staff were very apologetic and they said they attempt not to book stag parties but when bookings are made through websites they dont know whose going to arrive.

They did however let us keep our room until 6pm on our last day at no extra charge, to make up for it.

All in all, a very very nice friendly, clean and stylish hotel in an excellent location. Ideal for people who have 5* standards but dont want to spend 5* money, and can accept a few less luxuries than you would get in a 5* hotel (i.e. grand reception etc..) in return for excellent value.

We stayed here twice: Great location, minutes from almost everything of interest beside Metro Museum.Excellent staff, extremely helpful. Clean modern rooms and a good buffet breakfast (by Czech standards) Free internet access. Restaurant a little dark and sometimes hot, only quibble; as in all places in the Czech Republic, the waiters are continually taking finished and partially finished dishes from the tables-No hotel in the country supplies a bath cap for ladies.

The hotel was spotless and luxurious, and the breakfast was fabulous. However, we prefer hotels that are a little funkier. Also, the location is fine, but it is probably better to be a little closer to Old Town Square if you want to visit the Jewish Quarter and/or the Castle. The restaurant below the hotel is very nice, and we had our anniversary dinner there.
