A very good Hotel, with good staff, clean and tidy, good breakfast.
But, We booked a superior city view room, at reception they said we had been upgraded to a suite, wonderful we thought , the room was great until you drew the curtains and you could shake hands with the builders, the windows and balcony are covered with construction debris, and a tower crane is feet away. work started at 7.30am until around 6pm, and it will wake you. Ok we were on a 3 day city break and we were up and out and it did not bother us to much. If you want rest and recuperation it may not be for you. TV has English news channels only and the TV will not accept BUS or HDMI connections.
The Hotel was fully booked so no chance of another room.
Should the Hotel let you know about the building work before you go, for £150 a night. I believe so. Or is it worth spoiling a few holidays to get the cash in?
