Reviewed 23 July 2012

I only stayed one night but was a little reluctant to leave! A beautiful hotel with friendly staff and great rooms. I would return and stay again. One downside is expensive room service and the food could have been better but this was minor point compared to everything else in this great hotel

I don't write much and not even often. Just a simple fact: Prague Marriott Hotel is a joke an I would rate it as poor 4-star hotel. If you have low standards and money to waste go there, otherwise avoid it. Far from luxury hotel. Spa area sucks and it is dirty.

(This was my second and definitely the last Marriott Hotel ever.)

Located only 5 min away walking distance from the Old Town Square. Get the Executive Lounge Upgrade. For $75 per night you have breakfast, Internet and beverages.
Rooms are big compared to other hotels in Europe

This hotel is beautifully located in the central part of the Old Town near the Powder Gate and Municipal House (both Tourist Attractions) as well as walking distance to the Metro line (Namesti Republicky stop).

Checking in is quick and efficient and the front desk staff is truly exceptional, in terms of handling any requests or questions that you may have. I am a Marriott Elite Rewards member and I typically take points however they have a great Cheese and Wine pairing as an arrival gift if you qualify. The room is exactly what you would expect of a Marriott (that is the idea right?), meaning no matter if you are in Prague or Chicago the room, bedding, etc is typically the same and you know what to expect. The work space located in the room is spacious and it has quick internet speed. Unfortunately the cost for the internet is a little expensive in relation to other hotels I have stayed at in Prague. The bed here is heavenly and you will fall right asleep, in addition the curtains do a great job of blocking out all light so if you need to sleep while it is light out you should be able to for any reason.

The restaurant located in the hotel is quite good though a little overpriced in my opinion. The food is quite excellent and offers a good variety of local fare and more. There is an executive lounge that offers breakfast, evening snack and drinks if you qualify. I have to say this is a great feature where you can relax, catch up on news while enjoying a beverage or a quick breakfast.

Overall this is a great hotel that is certain to meet all of your expectations.

First - location: the Marriott is in the heart of the town, easy to reach by bus or taxi when you come from the airport and within walking distance from the Clock Tower and main attractions in Prague. The metro station is just around the corner, too.
Second - rooms: standard Marriott quality (not new though, do not have high expectations), size ok (big for European standards), [very] clean, great facilities in the room, including wifi, AC and minibar.
Third - the hotel restaurant: very good if you do not want to go out of the hotel (although I would recommend to go out), I had lunch and dinner.
And not least - the staff: very friendly and helpful, very good English.

Located in possibly the best location in Prague for someone visiting the city for a short time.
The front desk/reception is one of the most friendly and professional. Wow! is what we said the moment we walked into this hotel. Rooms are great and some of the features and facilities are way beyond the ones you get in an similar category Marriott in the US.
The only downside is- to get to this hotel from the airport, it takes you to take a tram and then another bus/tram. There is not direct mode of transport other than a taxi which is relatively expensive, when compared to the cost of public transport. Having said that it's totally worth going to this hotel, you'll get to pass through the city, which otherwise you'd not do as a tourist for few days.

Room Tip: There will be two Marriotts showing up in the search in Prague. Choose the one at V Celnici 8

Thank you so much for your kind words.
If I may, I would just like to make a suggestion for fellow travellers reading your review. There is a shuttle bus from the airport to right accross the street from us, the company is Cedas and the bus leaves from both terminals, starting 7.30am from the airport and the last shuttle is 7.00pm outside the hotel. At present the cost is CCZ130.00 per person.

What a lovely hotel ... the rooms were a very good and comfortable size and immaculately clean. Nice to see a full size kettle, cups and tea/coffee available. Fridge also, but this was full of chocolates and drinks to entice you ... watch the price though. The bed was so so comfortable. Gym very good, swimming pool .. a tad small but a swimming pool. Staff were very pleasant and all in all a good stay. Only comment is that I could not find a staircase to get to our floor, apart from the emergency ones which were not generally usable, so have to wait for the lift a lot.

By the way Prague is an amazing city to visit... would definitely recommend a visit there.. go to the Ossuary at Katna Hora...
