Great hotel, perfectly placed, great interior and rooms. Good cafe / bar with pianist and very good restaurant but you need to book. Only bad thing .... Mega cheesy lift music but all in all brilliant

What a gorgeous hotel! Had third floor room with balcony overlooking small square. Square can be loud, however their are double windows, which block out most of the sound. Bring ear plugs and you won't be bothered. There is no wireless internet in room, however we had room directly above lobby and bar, and rec'd access from inside our room (bonus!!). Room was spacious by European standards and we were delighted by the light and decor. Bathroom was also roomy and well appointed. Breakfasts were out of this world! Absolutely wonderful....I would definately reserve room/breakfast package and start your day off with a wonderful array of breakfast items as well as frothy, tasty cappuccinos. Elevators are quite small, but staircase is wide and comfortable. We took the stairs most of the time. Forgot electrical adaptor, but front desk was ready to assist and provided one asap upon request. Some friends we were traveling with experienced a serious problem hotel, and they were well taken care of by staff and management. Would definately recommend.

Room Tip: Direct above bar/lounge for wireless access.

Stayed at Hotel Paris for 4 nights and have to say was a wonderful experience. Staff very helpful and service was fantastic. We had a 2nd floor room and would recommend staying higher up as the only downside was the noise from the dustcarts in the street at 4am for three of the days we were there. The breakfast and other food was very good but the Sarah Bernhart Restaurant was a bit pricey for dinner so we ate out most nights.

Great room (we had balcony with the shade tree), spectacular breakfast, Great location, great help, very friendly-there when you need them (and they smile), interesting art work in hotel (especially the cringing secretary picture in breakfast room sparks some real discussion) elegant building, everything you need nearby. If I have a complaint it was the bar- kinda not really there as a working business. Be sure to eat at nearby Beer Hall located in Concert Hall basement and also the nearby Argentinian Restaurant. Astronomy Clock square a short walk. Subway is right there to get you where you need to go.

Room Tip: Balcony rooms

Lovely hotel, brilliant location in the middle of everything. Service wise, the odd member of staff could do with a brush up on customer service skills. The room (Executive) was a good size and the sleep quality of the bed fantastic. Disappointed that the restaurant could not cope with the quantity of guests descending on them at breakfast but the buffet selection was good.

Cafe du Paris an excellent place for drinks, snacks and meals most of the day and the Sarah Bernhardt Restaurant was good for it's price structure.

The spa facility could do with someone on the spa reception to greet guests. Confusion abounds when a treatment is booked and the external spa area is in darkness with the masseuse waiting the other side of the locked door for the client!

As part of the easter package our rate included pick up service from the airport, buffet breakfast, 3 course dinner one evening in the restaurant & a welcome easter cake in our room.
The breakfast buffet offered a vast array of yummy choices and our dinner in the restaurant was very nice too.
Great location and there were some very nice restaurants nearby.
Our room was nicely appointed and we really enjoyed our stay at this lovely old hotel.

We booked this hotel based on the room value and its location. I wasn't sure about the actual quality, since this hotel has sooooo many overly exciting, extremely positive reviews posted from the "travelers" that only have a single contribution. (I am always skeptical to see that people post hotel reviews that look like the cut and paste from the hotel web site and those people don't travel anywhere else).

Overall we had a good time in Prague. This hotel is conveniently located within the walking distance to all major attractions. The building itself is very stylish (I would not call it beautiful, but it has it's charm). Here are the main points from our experience:

Good points: location, high speed internet, breakfast, high ceilings in the room, air-conditioner, comfortable bed with good pillows and quality sheets. We also had a good service from the front desk.

Negative points: our room was incredibly small. We do travel a lot, and that was the smallest room in the 5 star hotel we've ever seen. Bathroom was very tiny as well. Only because the ceiling was very high, it was possible to stay in this room. Service at the bar was terrible. We went one evening, after dinner, and had to wait a long time just to get our order of coffee and drinks. For some reason, he was making it pretty obvious that he is not interested in serving us and was almost annoyed by our presence (he had a bigger party of drunk tourists to attend to).

In summary, it was OK, but I am not sure if I would give this hotel its 5 stars.
