Nice Art Noveau hotel in Prague old town. They have small but very cosy spa department with hot tub , sauna , steam room and cold pool. Breakfast buffet is excellent and room was very tidy.

This hotel is really wonderful ! Very good situated in the old town of Prag. A few steps to everywere. Very nice staff, very good service and a charming atmosphere. The morning buffet is absolutely great and for dinner you can go in the splendid restaurant "Sarah Bernard ". Rooms are modern and comfortable.

I have stayed in the Hotel Pariz a number of times and have always been very happy with the quality of the hotel, the location, the service and the food. So happy in fact that my husband and I decided to host our wedding reception there. Unfortunately, this time the hotel seemed to be an entirely different place. Before we even arrived one of our wedding guests had her handbag stolen from her hotel room while she was in the shower! We were extremely upset about this, but put it down to extremely bad luck. I note, however, that this situation could have been avoided if the hotel would provide more than one key per room.. She could have then locked herself into her room while her partner was out. The morning after our wedding reception we were presented with our bill. They tried to overcharge us by approximately GBP 1,000. Again, I would have put this down to an honest mistake had I not had to argue the point for 45 minutes. The additional GBP 1,000 was a bill from another party on a night when we weren't even staying in the hotel! Next we (perhaps crazily) ventured to the hotel coffee shop for lunch where they attempted to charge my husband for a plate of chips he hadn't ordered and tried to charge me for two plates of sandwiches I hadn't ordered. We received no apology when we pointed out these mistakes. In fact the staff were extremely aggressive about the situation, which seemed particularly baffling as we had just spent thousands of pounds on a wedding there. The final straw came when my parents checked out and put all their bags on a hotel trolley to be transported to their car - yes, you guessed it, one of the bags "disappeared". I think the Hotel Pariz needs to address this situation with a matter of urgency - they have obviously employed one if not more extremely dishonest members of staff. Personally I will not be staying in this hotel again. Next time I am in Prague I will be staying at U Zlate Studne, which is an excellent hotel.

Dear guest,
Thank you very much for your time to write a review. I´m deeply sorry about the situation which happened to you. I have checked the situation with all departments involved.
The point is that historical building as ours has no electronic keys but the real keys from guest rooms. Even though it is our first experience of this type, we are already working on improving of our key-security system to avoid this kind of problem in the future.
Also it needs to be mentioned that there is no proof that any of the actions has been done by any of our employees. I´m persuaded that all our employees are professional & most of them long time working in or hotel. I understand you are very disappointed by this story & I truly hope it did not have influence to your overall impression from Prague & your Wedding day.
Please accept our humble apology & let me know if there is anything else we can do for you at this time. My warm regards from Prague, Zuzana Vincíková

Every aspect of this hotel is perfect: the art deco decor was amazing - every detail is perfect; it's located right in the Old Town near the Square and Clock, and a short walk to the Charles Bridge; service was outstanding; the room was lovely, clean, with an extremely comfortable bed; the food in the Cafe was delicious, and we also really enjoyed the full breakfast in the exquisite Sarah Bernhardt Restaurant, which was included. All in all, the price was so reasonable considering the quality and location of this hotel. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone, and would not hesitate to stay here again on a future trip to Prague.

We have just returned form a most enjoyable first visit to Prague. I examined reports of most good hotels in the Old City of Prague and was persuaded to reserve a room at the Hotel Paris. It was in the right location, and had the facilities that we demand from a city centre hotel. A special deal was on offer for staying over three nights, and we were offered an upgrade to a junior suite. We could also book a return car journey to the airport, more of which later.

The design of the hotel harks back to the Art Nouveau period of the early 20th century, but the rooms are very modern and comfortable. Room service was generally excellent, when it worked, but the lack of comprehension on behalf of the staff, led to cleaning and turn-down service being forgotten.

The front-desk girls need a lesson in charm, they try to do too much and it shows in their attitude to guests. The hotel quoted prices in Euros, but only accepts Czech crowns, hnce you need to exchange currency at the front desk, never the best for rates!

The hotel restaurant and cafe are excellent, and the staff in the restaurant must be applauded for their manner and skill. Their comprehension of English was so much bettter that those maidens on the front desk. Speaking of which, it was most interesting to listen to a guest being sked to write a favourable report on Trip Advisor, not what this site is meant to encourage hotels so to do.

Finally, back to the driver of the car that collected us fro the airport and returned us there. The speed and utter lack of care made those drivers in Cairo and Bombay look positively advanced. We paid 60Euros for this service and would advise taking a Yellow Taxi for 24 Euros instead.

In conclusion. Prague and the Paris Hotel were good bed-fellows, but the latter needs to visit the Four Seasons or especially the Kempinski, to see how great customer service can be in Prague.
