Stayed in an executive room which was very pleasent. Access to Executive Lounge where breakfast was provided and all days drinks / snacks. Only issue was that our room was a tad too warm, and it was difficult to cool it down.

Location was good - 10 mins to most places - Old Town, Wencesles Square etc. Close to metro station if you're a little weary of all the walking.

Staff friendly and helpful.

We stayed at the Hilton Prague Old Town for our anniversary and we will remember it for a while. We mentioned our anniversary when we booked the room but we did not expect anything. We received an upgrade to the Executive Floor and some very nice treats in the room. The room was fantastic and we had a very nice view of the city. The executive lounge was great to start our day but we also appreciate it after the long walks in Prague and the museums. They had also a couple of computers in there and we could check our mailbox anytime, which was great. The atmosphere and the décor of the Hotel was very romantic and the Staff was helpful and professional.

The hotel is in a good location (5 mins walk to main square), very easy to get to from airport (using shuttle bus) and rooms are very nice. Didn't eat breakfast in the hotel as it was expensive but there are plenty of options close by and the shopping centre was across the road. The Christmas markets are excellent and a weekend in Prague at Christmas really put us in the Christmas spirit!!

When I embarked upon my travels to Europe, I quickly realized that the standard for European hotels was much different that hotels in the US. For instance, a 4 star in Europe would be a 2+/3 star in the USA.

The Old Town Hilton was nice. Regular elevators, a helpful staff (but not overbearing), and comfortable beds. The rooms were a decent size and there is storage space which was nice. The Internet was about 40 euros a night though so budget that in if you are comparing hotels.

I liked Old Town Hilton because it was walking distance to Charles Bridge, the Castle and the part of Prague you'd really want to see. It is a short cab ride from the trainstation. (Dont take the subways unless you want to simulate that you are in Hostel 3 or Saw 29. A rather scary experience. Subway is clean but stations are creepy).

The Hilton was a nice haven in Europe and good by US standards. Not to sound ethnocentric but its true. Just trying to be helpful to the 90% of people this wont offend.

We cashed in points for a weekend trip to Prague and based on the reviews debated over which Hilton to stay in. We were very glad that we decided on the Hilton Old Town. The location is perfect and the Cedaz shuttle bus (120 krs) per person stops right next to the hotel, leaves on the half hour and takes about 30 min. I can't speak for all the rooms, but the corner room---#37 we were given (an 'executive plus'), was lovely and spacious. The executive lounge, on the 8th floor, was also very nice. While not huge, it certainly was never crowded while we were there and the use of two computers was also a good touch. The staff in the lounge were very friendly and helpful and took time to talk to the guests. Breakfast is served only in the lounge for Diamond and Gold HHonor members but it was a very generous breakfast and included both hot and cold food, plus a wonderful coffee machine! From 4-6 each day, delicious smoked salmon and cucumber sandwiches and cakes are served and from 6-9.30 there are hot hors d'oeuvres and drinks. There is also a cheese board offered until closing at 11 pm. So no need to go hungry.

The major sights of Prague are all within 10-20 mins. walk. This includes the Charles Bridge, Wenceslas Sq. and the Old Town Square. As well there are many restaurants nearby and several supermarkets within 2-3 minutes from the hotel (Billa directly across the street and Albert in the Kotka Dept Store). As well, the Palladium, which is a huge shopping centre, is 3 min. from the hotel. It has a good food court, including an excellent Lebanese restaurant on the top floor and even a Marks and Spencer!

Had we stayed at the other Hilton, we would not have been central to the old town or the major shops and even if it is only a 20-30 minutes walk or a metro ride, there is something about being able to easily reach your hotel throughout the day that makes a huge difference.
