Well worth visiting and lingering around to watch the clock chime. Surrounding buildings makes for pretty photos.

This is a busy area, lots going on, lots of people on tours and lots of people vying for your business. There are restaurants and cafes surrounding the area. The food and drink in these establishments is pricey. If you want to sit and watch the world go by be prepared to pay £6 a beer.

I love this part of town, it's so touristy and have a lot of good restaurant! Every corner of the street seem like an adventure, make sure you to explore it when you're there rather taking the touristy route!

Old town square is lovely but unfortunately extremely crowded. We went on a Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday. We went in the morning, afternoon, and night. Mid day, as expected, was the worse congestion. As in most tourist areas you need to overlook the the people and the shops to see the true beauty. The architect is amazing on the old buildings. The restaurants and shops are jammed into every nook and cranny so if that is your thing, you will be thrilled! Speaking of restaurants, food is expensive there compared to most of Czech so be prepared. English is spoken almost everywhere and charge cards are also accepted almost everywhere. While I had heard rumors of pickpockets and danger, I never saw it or felt it. Be prepared to walk. Every street offers something to see. I brought my own water and snacks in a back pack to save money. There is no subway directly into Old Town but it is within several blocks. Trams also offer transportation. You can see most if it in several hours but to really enjoy the experience allow more time, or go for short periods of time over several days and nights.
