A most lovely modern hotel with a great location: 2 minutes from the river and 5 minutes from the old town square. Room was really lovely with some great touches - free Nespresso machine in the room, white bathrobe and mules. Free internet access and wifi. Staff were very helpful and the breakfast was the best ever! Would certainly return and recommend it to others. I was with my husband to celebrate my 60th birthday!
Thank you to all the staff at Maximilian.

Wonderful location just a few minutes from Old Town Square but on a quiet street. The rooms are just "okay." Initially we were give a very small room in the Red Tower. I was a bit disappointed with the room and especially the condition of the carpet. We asked for a room with two beds (which was what I thought I was reserving) and the second one in the Red Tower was better than the one we were first given in the Black Tower. The carpet was still rather shabby though. The breakfast is amazing and the front desk staff wonderful. Ask for Peter or Mumad (the bellman) to help you. They are both fabulous!

We arrived in Prague after a trip to Stockholm. This hotel was a breath of fresh air to us. The staff was very nice and helped us with everything and the room was very comfortable. Special thanks to the girl at the reception desk, even in her first working days very professional and helpfull. Also thanks to Mourad who took care of our luggage and gave service with a smile.

Best regards from Holland,

Michiel en Kasia

I stayed here with my elderly mother, the staff couldn't have been more helpful. They organised a wheelchair, places to eat, and things to see. Great room, clean, close to everything, quiet. I would definetly stay here again.

Contemporary, "design" hotel in a great location, 5 minute walk from St Agnes Monastery, 12 minutes from the Old Town Square, 20 minutes to the Charles River Bridge. Our room, facing the street and located in the "Black House", was a little small for a superior deluxe but comfortable and nicely furnished. Amenities were very nice - free in-room internet, in-room safes, robes, full sized bottles of shower gel and body lotions, mounted on the wall. Room size and a ridiculous hair dryer that had an on switch in an awkward place that need to be held down for the machine to work (a pet peeve) were the only minor flaws in what was otherwise a terrific experience

Hotel includes two common areas for guests to hang out, both with very modern furniture and free WiFi. Breakfast, the only food served in the restaurant, is served in a glassed in terrace that is bright and airy. included in the room rate (350 per person kronin otherwise), was perfect. Besides an excellent selection of options in the buffet - scrambled eggs, sausage, Prague ham, cut fruit (kiwi, pineapple, watermelon, strawberries, pear, grapes, etc), assorted cheeses, eight different breads, coffee cakes, - they offered a "regular" menu of eggs, crepes, Eggs Benedicts to order, as well as "specials" of the day - this morning, it was crepes with mascarpone cheese.

Service is great - people very friendly and helpful, going out of their way with suggestions of places to visit and eat, making reservations, arranging tours, etc. This was especially welcome when my husband's wallet was picked (yes, we were warned and were careful but.....) and needed help making the myriad calls to cancel our credit cards.

Bottom line, a definite keeper.

We switched our reservations to the Maximilian the night before our arrival in Prague because we liked the location. The Maximilian did not disappoint as it was within easy walking distance to Old Town. The problem was that we were not fond of Old Town and wished we had stayed in the Castle District. But, that aside, we enjoyed our stay at the Maximilian. The staff was truly Five Star. We received some of our best service in all of Europe at this hotel. The rooms were clean and modern... exactly as advertised. The building is a bit shabby and definitely post-Communist, but the design team did a nice job with its renovation. If you want to stay in Old Town, we highly recommend this hotel.
