“Great location, very clean and comfortable”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 December 2013

Reception staff very friendly, our twin room (106) actually had 3 beds, was large, warm and very clean with a large bathroom. The breakfast buffet was excellent and some of the best coffee in Prague. This hotel is in an excellent position for the Old Square and the Metro. The only downside is that there is smoking in the public areas which you have to walk through to get to your room.

This hotel is located 10 mins walk from the Old Town Square. The rooms are well kept (we were on the upper floors & had a balcony) and modern. Breakfast was perfectly good & the staff efficient , friendly & helpful. It's perfect for a short break as everything is a stroll away.
I suppose it's similar in standard to a Premier Inn

Room Tip: Upper level rooms have a balcony

Booked this hotel for a city break in march 2011 and was pretty nice.
Good location, breakfast ok, better than at other 3* hotels in Europe.
The room was large enough, clean and well maintained, the staff was helpful.
Prague is a very nice city, lots of interesting places to visit. The weather at the end of March was quite cold and windy, so I think it is better to go there during summer.
Central Hotel is a good choice.

My girlfriend and I stayed here for 2 nights and found it was a great base to get around and see the city. 5 minute walk to old town square, just behind a major shopping centre and with plenty of bars & restaurants close by. Positives: The room was quite big, bathroom was big & reasonably good, breakfast at the hotel was good, staff were very helpful and spoke reasonably good English, room had a good secure safe. Negatives: room was quite old & outdated (although it is a 3 star so you can't expect to walk into the Hilton), shower & tub were also old and not the nicest, double bed was 2 singles pushed together (although that seems quite common in Europe) & there was quite a bit of construction going on around the hotel which spoiled the view from the room.

3 friends and I (all female) have just returned from 3 nights/ 4 days break in this beautiful city. We chose this hotel after reviewing its situation in the centre and were not disappointed... it does what it says on the box!!!! It even has a bar, although that closed at 10pm, so peace and quiet inside guaranteed..
2 minutes walk to the Old Square, extremely helpful receptionist ( she booked our evening dinner/boat trip for us, friendly staff and everywhere clean as a whistle. The breakfast was aplenty with hot and cold choices, fruits, cereals, breads etc. Within few minutes walk to shops, bars, restaurants and further afield (10 to 15 mins walk) The Charles Bridge into the New Town and uphill to the Palace. We would not hesitate to return to the little haven in the centre of town.Full marks from all of us.

Room Tip: We had booked 2 x twin rooms and ended up with 1 x triple and 1 x 4 bedded. lots of space. room 1 o...

Hotel is in great location. it's in the old part of prague and steps to center square and sightseeing. It is also 5 minutes away from a mall & supermarket. If you're adventurous, you can walk to a lot of places. We walked to alphonso mucha museum, the bus station from which we did a one day tour and all over the historic part of prague. It's in the quieter area away from pubs, bars, eateries, however you walk 5 minutes and you're in the hub of everything - small cafes, happy people, small shops, restaurants. The hotel is also about 15 minutes away by walking to Charles bridge and there is ton to explore there. If you are looking for a place on a budget and with walking to distance to pretty much everything, this hotel is great. Also - there is no AC which terrified us a bit at first, but we went in July and at night, temperature is perfect to leave windows open. There is also free breakfast.

There was some real plus points to this hotel - and some not so good!!

Negatives - there is a lot of building work going on at front of hotel. One night we thought there was a protest - it was the 'pub crawl' crowd!! The walls are thin so we were woken with a film crews alarm at 4am most mornings. Rooms a bit small.

Positives - the hotel is definitely close to all the facilities. Old town square only a five minute walk away. Near lots of restaurants, pubs and shops. The hotel was clean, staff pleasant and breakfast edible.

Would recommend but try get one of the back rooms!!

Room Tip: Round the back!!
