Reception staff very friendly, our twin room (106) actually had 3 beds, was large, warm and very clean with a large bathroom. The breakfast buffet was excellent and some of the best coffee in Prague. This hotel is in an excellent position for the Old Square and the Metro. The only downside is that there is smoking in the public areas which you have to walk through to get to your room.

This hotel is located 10 mins walk from the Old Town Square. The rooms are well kept (we were on the upper floors & had a balcony) and modern. Breakfast was perfectly good & the staff efficient , friendly & helpful. It's perfect for a short break as everything is a stroll away.
I suppose it's similar in standard to a Premier Inn

Room Tip: Upper level rooms have a balcony

Booked this hotel for a city break in march 2011 and was pretty nice.
Good location, breakfast ok, better than at other 3* hotels in Europe.
The room was large enough, clean and well maintained, the staff was helpful.
Prague is a very nice city, lots of interesting places to visit. The weather at the end of March was quite cold and windy, so I think it is better to go there during summer.
Central Hotel is a good choice.

My girlfriend and I stayed here for 2 nights and found it was a great base to get around and see the city. 5 minute walk to old town square, just behind a major shopping centre and with plenty of bars & restaurants close by. Positives: The room was quite big, bathroom was big & reasonably good, breakfast at the hotel was good, staff were very helpful and spoke reasonably good English, room had a good secure safe. Negatives: room was quite old & outdated (although it is a 3 star so you can't expect to walk into the Hilton), shower & tub were also old and not the nicest, double bed was 2 singles pushed together (although that seems quite common in Europe) & there was quite a bit of construction going on around the hotel which spoiled the view from the room.

3 friends and I (all female) have just returned from 3 nights/ 4 days break in this beautiful city. We chose this hotel after reviewing its situation in the centre and were not disappointed... it does what it says on the box!!!! It even has a bar, although that closed at 10pm, so peace and quiet inside guaranteed..
2 minutes walk to the Old Square, extremely helpful receptionist ( she booked our evening dinner/boat trip for us, friendly staff and everywhere clean as a whistle. The breakfast was aplenty with hot and cold choices, fruits, cereals, breads etc. Within few minutes walk to shops, bars, restaurants and further afield (10 to 15 mins walk) The Charles Bridge into the New Town and uphill to the Palace. We would not hesitate to return to the little haven in the centre of town.Full marks from all of us.

Room Tip: We had booked 2 x twin rooms and ended up with 1 x triple and 1 x 4 bedded. lots of space. room 1 on the front looked onto church tower bright and airy, did get some noisy revellers walking past early hours but just closed the window!!! room 2 at rear was overlooking gym across the road, very quiet.
