Some friends recommended this hotel otherwise we wouldn't have spent the money because there is so much really good accommodation in Prague at cheaper prices. Glad we did stay here though. Room was well laid out and comfortable. Location was brilliant for sight seeing. We did a lot of walking. Only had 2 days and it was so easy to get to all the major sights, and not so touristy ones, from here. Also handy to be able to nip back to the room for a rest when our feet were tired. The Palladium and Powder Gate are literally just around the corner and the Old Town Square and Astronomical Clock just 2 mins walk away.

Tip: snack in Cafe Mozart upstairs opposite Astronomical Clock for great views. We had live piano music too. Was lovely. Hotel has a neo-Baroque dance hall in its basement (with an interesting history) that's well worth the informal tour by a staff member.

Room Tip: Wasn't too noisy on the 2nd floor but expect the higher the floor the quieter the room.

We had a Christmas Party in fabulous Boccaccio ballroom and everything was just perfect - excellent food, great service and atmosphere. The very center location is convenient for people who would like to explore Prague. We canrecommend GH Bohemia for any party or wedding. People who stayed at hotel overnight liked the choice of breakfast buffet and elegant spacious rooms.

We stayed in Dec for sightseeing and Christmas markets. The hotel is situated a few minutes from the Old Square and just a few more minutes from Wencenslas Square. As an extra plus point the chocolate shop Gold Pralines is directly opposite the hotel which is a must for chocolate lovers.
The hotel offers a lively experience from start to finish with the staff being friendly and helpful.
Breakfast consists of anything you can think if with a separate menu available for ordered food included in breakfast price. I had the tastiest eggs Benedict and omelette.
We did not dine in the restaurant but chose to visit many other restaurants nearby mainly to experience the old square at night which was an amazing sight.
The hotel organised taxi limousine service from and to airport all at reasonable price.
The room was lovely, always warm with the biggest beds. The beds had individual duvets which I hadn't come across before. Beds comfortable, pillows a little too soft for me but perfect for husband.
Bathroom had lively shower and deep bath, plenty of towels with usual toiletries available. In total a lively experience and perfect base for sightseeing all over Prague. I cannot recommend the hotel enough, just perfect.

This hotel is in a fabulous location. Just on the outside of the Old Town Square and in walking distance to some great restaurants and attractions. The rooms are spacious and very clean, and the maid leaves a chocolate on your pillow each night. The breakfast is buffet style, but there is all manner of choice, both hot and cold. Staff are (on the whole) very helpful and polite. I did have one bad experience with a barman, who did not want to serve us coffee at 11pm at night, and when we wanted to pay for the coffee, he mutted under his breath something we couldn't understand. He was generally very very rude. But don't let this put you off the hotel - just a point to note.

I would also like to deeply apologize for your unfortunate experience with the barman. This should not have happened in a hotel of our quality. Our F&B Manager will take the necessary measures to ensure that such thing will never happen again.

I wish you beautiful Christmas holidays, a perfect start of the new year and hope to see you in Prague soon again.

I stayed here with two friends on a recent trip to Prague and we were all delighted with it. The location was fabulous, two minutes walk from the Old Town Square, and we were able to explore everywhere on foot. The hotel lobby is gracious and elegant and the rooms are spacious with a surprisingly modern interior. We had a triple room and there was plenty room for us and our luggage. Beds were comfortable and the room was well equipped with safe, hair dryer, robes, toiletries etc.

The breakfast was lovely with an extensive buffet and also dishes that could be cooked to order from menu. We didn't eat dinner here but did have drinks in the bar one night and found the prices to be rather higher than elsewhere .

Staff were courteous and efficient. In fact, one morning we passed by the desk on our way up to our room to ask that someone come to unblock the bathroom sink and by the time we got to our room ( about 3 minutes later) the handyman was already there fixing it! Impressive service!
On a couple of occasions we used the hotel's car and driver to go to dinner. It was a set price of 350 Czech crowns and was a lovely way to travel.

We had a wonderful stay here and it is another hotel that I would happily recommend and visit again.

Room Tip: All rooms seemed good but I imagine in the summer away from the street would be best.,

Dear Shona,

Thank you very much for leaving such an amazing review here on Tripadvisor. I am happy that everything about your stay in Pragu and at the Grand Hotel Bohemia was just perfect!

Next time you come to Prague, maybe it would be summer, you don't need to worry about rooms facing the street. The streets around the hotel are very quiet, with low traffic and at night there is no noise to disturb.

Wish you nice Christmas holiday and a good start of the new year!

With kind regards

Jan Mika
