My husband and went in late December to see the Christmas markets. We arrived at the hotel and loved its location instantly, so close to the main square. It's about a 5 minute walk by turning left out the main doors and then right down the shopping street. We got upgraded to an executive room and there was a bottle of champagne in the room and some fruit. Nice touch as I think my husband had advised our tour operator that it was our anniversary. Our room overlooked the rooftops of old Prague and it was a bit misty so looked really atmospheric.
There are no irons or boards in the room and there is a charge to hire them, although we 'borrowed' the one that had been left out on the landing.
Breakfast was abundant. I haven't seen such a big spread for a long time. My husband tried the eggs benedict, it was not what he was expecting but still nice.
We went to the Mozart opera in the ballroom one evening. It is incredible and should you get the chance to go then do it. The room is just beautiful.
As for Prague, get your comfy walking shoes on, you don't want to miss anything. One of my favourite things were the symbols above the doors. Find out the stories before you go and step back in time. Enjoy!More
