We stayed here for 1 night while visiting Prague. The rooms are comfortable, the breakfast is good and you can't beat the location. They offer parking for about 18 euro per night, which is a lot cheaper than the surrounding public parking locations. It's a 5 minute walk to Charles' Bridge. I can definitely recommend this hotel. Excellent value at a great price!

The Best Western Hotel Kampa is a quiet hotel near centrum af Prag.
Very polite and helpful personel.
The onlye negative thing to say is that the restaurant and bar was closed during 2 evenings, so we couldn't eat or have a drink at the hotel.

Room Tip: If you likes your hotel to be quiet it is a good choise.

The Best Western Kampa is in a great location. It's on a side street, so it is very quite It is also in walking distance to many attractions and restaurants. The staff that managed the front office were very nice and helpful. The room was very clean, but did not have the amenities that Americans are accustomed to, which is ok because we weren't in America. ( no big fluffy pillows, low powered hair dryer, small shower), plus our beds were very hard. Another thing, there wasn't a place to sit and have a drink and snack after a day of sight seeing, and also the bar closed earlier than posted the entire time we were there. I would still recommend this hotel because you can't beat the location

With 2 children we had 2 rooms fairly close situated to each other. I is a quiet hotel, nice breakfast area, good breakfast buffet, only a short walk to Charles Bridge. The only negative aspect was the fairly hard mattress (since they were new) in one of the rooms, but upon our request they added some softness. The rooms are spacious enough for the centre of Prague, bathroom is also well enough equipped. Well heated.

We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights and wished that we'd asked to change rooms earlier. The room we were given had a disgusting smell from the bathroom, which I suspect came from the drain. When I mentioned it to the reception staff, they weren't at all surprised. They tried to mask the smell by douching the bathroom with bleach, but the smell returned immediately.

This hotel does not have air conditioning, and the TV was tiny. The plus side was that they had comfortable king size beds and the location central yet very quiet. We were able to walk everywhere from the hotel comfortably.

The breakfast was very average. They staff didn't clear the tables and were slow to restock food. We had to argue why more eggs were required at 10am, when the breakfast was scheduled to finish at 10.30am.

Room Tip: Make sure you smell the bathroom immediately when you get given a room and ask for a new room if it...

The room was clean but basic, overlooking a quiet, narrow cobbled street (however refuse collections do pass right under the window around 7ish every morning)We had requested a double room, but where given 2 ''large'' singles. There were no tea/coffee making facilities in the room, although these were supposed to be available from reception on request, however on the days we stayed we were told these were not available, but cups of coffee could be sent to our room. The hotel is within 5-10 mins walk of Charles Bridge if you leave the hotel & turn right, then take an immediate right again(through what looks like a car park) over a little bridge, through the park bearing left, you come to Kampa Island,at the end of the trees are steps which lead up onto the bridge. This was a more basic standard than typical Best Western levels.

We got a room in the roof that was quite unconfortable + had a horrible smell of old pipes in the bathroom. The second day we were moved to a different room that was better but still I think the price is not adjusted to what you get. Coffee in the breakfast tastes of dark water -the rest of the buffet is average 'though. Rooms have tried to get an "old times decoration" but they look simply old -even with scrapped furniture. You can even feel the matress springs.
Staff is friendly and helpful but unfortunately the hotel does not reflect the prices -it just survives because of being that central.

Room Tip: Avoid the roof rooms!!

Dear Client,

our hotel is historical building and under the hotel is old canalization system which was reason of smelling from pipes. In this time we did complete renovation of this pipes and must be ok.
Our coffee is from J.J.Darboven Atlas golden quality. Of course its not espresso. Furniture in the room is slowly renovated room by room. New matress will be in september 2011 for whole hotel.
I hope for next comming you will be more satisfied.
