We stayed at Unitas for 2 nights in June. This hotel is a beauty! FABULOUS hotel on a quiet street, just around the corner and a short lovely stroll to all the historic tourist spots and, of course, great shopping. It is set in a grand historic building with soaring high ceilings, completely renovated and modern. Walk into a cobble stone courtyard and sit outside or inside in one of 2 lovely lounge areas. The bedrooms are HUGE with comfy beds, beautiful bedding, slippers and bathrobes waiting, armchairs by the windows, air conditioning/heating, wardrobe, mini bar, flat screen TV, dvd player and lovely big windows overlooking the central cobble stone courtyard. Self-serve tea and coffee facilities are located on each floor in a lovely little alcove with armchairs. The bathroom is HUGE with a big spa bath. The breakfast is FANTASTIC, everything you could possibly want and more unexpected delicious local delicacies, including champagne and made to order omelettes, served in two spacious, modern, gorgeous rooms by ever so friendly and helpful staff. Five minute walk to a tram up to the castle (buy your tram tickets at Unitas reception). Take a 15 minute stroll past beautiful bohemia crystal, local glass, jewellery, puppet and arts and crafts shops into the square for the clock tower or Charles Bridges. Keep walking, mesmerised up to the castle. Stop and have a bite to eat at one of the lovely cafes and restaurants going up the hill to the castle in the Mala Strana area on Nerudova Street or along to river looking out at the Charles Bridge near the Kafka museum. Highly recommend Restaurant U Laury on Nerudova 10, Prague 1 open 10.00 - 23.00 with a lovely little central courtyard. Try the local duck, cabbage and potato dumplings, delicious! Check out the most amazingly chic designer shopping street directly behind the clock tower. It’s like being in Paris. It is a beautiful tree lined street with wide footpaths and lots of lovely little cafes and restaurants on the side streets with tables and chairs outside to sit and take in the beauty of the endless magic of historic buildings around you. These cafes and restaurants are also a quiet escape from the bustling restaurants in the central square and leading up to Charles Bridge. The Unitas is only about 20-30 minutes by taxi to the airport – have the hotel book these for you as it is much cheaper (almost half the price) than stopping one in the street. The staff are super friendly and helpful. Oh and if you are driving, the hotel has parking.

We stayed at the Unitas June 2012 for 3 nights. It is a great hotel, clean and spacious rooms, with very helpful and kind staff. We had a room with a shower. Bathrooms are spacious and modern. Beds are comfortable, AC was perfect, mini bar, and flat screen TV. In-room WiFi and they have a public computer (with printer) in lobby for internet if you left your device at home. Breakfast is awesome. Location is perfect. Short walks to Old Town, Wec Square and River yet far enough from the noise at night. Private and gated parking lot for your car.
Restaurants nearby to certainly try: Monarch: wine bar and tapas, great if you are a little tired of CZ food, nice wine list!, R.M. Rilke: Great CZ food and cool atmosphere, Pilsner Urquell on Aviaticka: yes, touristy but food is great, indoor seating, bar seating, or courtyard seating, just down the street.

Room Tip: Buy tram tickets at hotel front desk.

Perfect Hotel in every way! Travelled with adult daughter and was delighted with our 4 night stay at Hotel Unitas which we had prepaid. Greeted by friendly receptionist who offered a refreshing glass comlimentary champagne or chilled water with fresh lemon, while she attended to our booking. Had room 101 which was huge, more like an apartment, with 2 large seperate bedrooms! Bathroom is very large and has bidet. Very comfy beds and windows that open to central courtyard for fresh air if desired, plus curtains that block out light to add to a sound sleep. Ceilings are high and this history filled hotel is decorated with understated elegance. Beautiful! Breakfast offered a wonderful selection and it was a delight to start a busy sightseeing day in such a lovely space. Unitas is perfectly situated in Prague Old Town, yet it sits as a haven n a very quiet street!, away from bustling crowds etc. We slept soundly and heard no late night revellers! Close and easy access to Metro, Weneceless Square, Charles Bridge etc. We prebookd a private walking tour with Caput Regni Private Tours(sperate review). I highly recommend this. Our guide Katerina new all the best kept secrets of Old Town(non crowded cafes with local prices etc). Your Prague trip will be highlighted by this wonderful hotel with friendly and professional staff Perfect! ...and Art lovers...don't miss the Dax Gallery!

Room Tip: 101 great for 2 friends/ family members who cherish a bit of privacy for sleep.

We had four nights in a 3rd floor suite. The room was spacious, comfortable, quiet. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The breakfasts were more than adequate. The location was very central. I would stay here again if I ever return to Prague.

The Unitas hotel deserves all the rave reviews it receives. The location of this historical building is excellent; in a quiet street but very close to the heart of the city and tram lines. They pay close attention to the big things (super-friendly staff, excellent maintenance, spacious rooms/bathrooms and a very good breakfast) , but also to the small things (bathrobe and slippers, English magazines, refreshment stations on every floor and snacks in the foyer in the late afternoon). It becomes even more special when one receives birthday wishes at breakfast from the staff. All in all, HIGHLY recommended!

Absolutely wonderful place to stay. Converted nunnery with spacious rooms and large modern bathrooms. Staff extremely helpful with maps and suggestions for places to eat etc. Hotel in same street as Police station and very central. Very quiet! Trains and tram close by. Buffet Breakfast sensational with bountiful hot and cold selections and coffee excellent! Only small quibble in our room on ground floor was the wifi was a bit temperamental. we were there for Prague marathon on 13/5/12 and Unitas made our stay very memorable
