Fantastic location, beautiful hotel and best breakfasts in Prague.
All the staff were very attentive, the rooms had very good beds and little extras such as nespresso coffee.
Airport transfers very good.
Look forward to staying here again.

This well located hotel with a charming staff made our stay in Prague more than pleasant. After staying 1 week we can say that every breakfast was unique, we loved the DIY smoothie bar! We contacted them for requesting the Airport to Hotel transfer and v.v. (with an infant seat) and were not disappointed. The property is well maintained and you have the sensation that every small detail is taken care of.

Modern, clean, stylish and brilliantly located hotel in Prague. My husband and I had an amazing week staying here, and we didn't want to leave! It was wonderful to stay in a warm and modern hotel in the middle of the Prague winter. The staff were so welcoming and incredibly helpful and friendly throughout our stay. There is good, free wifi throughout the hotel which was very convenient. Our room was absolutely spotless, spacious, comfortable and warm but had a big door/window which we opened at night for fresh air, so it didn't get too stuffy. Our bed was huge and had lovely silky sheets that I would love to have at home! We also had a Nespresso machine in our room, a DVD player, and were able to borrow a Bose sound system from the hotel free of charge for plugging in an iPod (note: it didn't work for iPhone). The breakfasts are something else - everything you can imagine and then some. An incredible array of fresh fruits including strawberries in the middle of winter. The food was outstanding, and the breakfast buffet included a huge selection of other surprises such as a juice and smoothie area where you could make up your own creations. While expensive (380CZK per person) it was worth it before a day of sightseeing on foot and kept us going until dinnertime. The location is wonderful - right in the middle of everything but tucked away from the super touristy areas. We walked everywhere very quickly and easily and only took the metro once, when we went to a local ice hockey game in an outer suburb. Honestly, I can't recommend this hotel highly enough. Go, stay there and have a wonderful time as we did!

Room Tip: The superior deluxe rooms are very spacious and have a Nespresso coffee machine - we stayed for a we...

Dear Kim M,

thank you for taking the time to write such wonderful feedback! It's great to hear that you made the most of your time in Prague! It's true, during the Ice Hockey season it is well worth it to meet some locals at one of the matches.
Also thank you for pointing out our breakfast - if it is not included it may appear expensive but as you said, it really keeps you going for a while. It actually is always included if you book with our reservation team.

My partner and I had the most unbelievable stay in this little gem for four nights. Tucked in between a bar and a police station, how much safe could it get. REally nice location, within walking distances to every attraction. THe staff has been so approachable and helpful, giving us great tips on the metro, places to eat and do! They went out of their way to get us a travel adaptor and when they couldnt find one, they helped us charged our phones too! +absolutely brillant breakfast spread..definitely would be coming back to this wonderful hotel

My husband and I stayed at the Hotel Josef for several days in November, and we have nothing but great things to say about this hotel! The value for the amazing service and great rooms, is unmatched. Our room was fantastic and came with a complimentary bottle of wine. I did give the rooms 4 stars, only because the carpet had some stains. Bed was super-comfy, the bathroom was very modern and clean. Breakfast was included in our room rate and was unbelievable! I travel frequently and have never experienced a spread quite like this-everything you could imagine i s offered and the service is impeccable. The highlight of our stay was having drinks at lobby bar every evening and talking with the bartender. He gave us so much insight in to Prague and the Czech culture, and he made our stay unforgettable. And the bloody mary's were fantastic! I have nothing bad to say about this hotel-it was a great value and the service was impeccable! Additionally, it is centrally located and within walking distance to all of the sights. We look forward to coming back.

Prague has always been at the top of my list in European destinations to visit, and though it took me a while to do so, I am glad that I finally did so. Prague is simply a breathtaking city! I simply cannot wait to go back, and when I do, The Josef Hotel will be the place to stay at.

Though when in Europe I like to stay in hotels with an old world charm, we chose to stay here for the convinient location, as well as the great rates. Josef did not disappoint! Though the rooms fell a little cold, and the bed a bit hard (nothing different from all other hotels in Europe), the place is simply a modern-beauty. The glass details, the technology, the small gym with floor to roof windows with view of the beautiful roofs of prague, all add a charm to this place! The service is outstanding, from the front desk, to the front bar staff. They were also kind enough to let us book in 6hrs early, and book out a little later. All, painless experiences. The porter was also a great man! Honestly, I am simply in love with this place, and I am a person very hard to please in hotels. The hotel is steps from great shopping malls and area, and though at first sight the area might seem unsafe, it is actually not. Walking through Prague at 3am, with the streets empty for you, is simply a dream!

I loved the bathroom and the strong shower, and the simple, modern decoration of the hotel, and rooms. The hotel is a 3 minute walk from the city center (for fast-paced New Yorkers like us), but, do take your time to find multiple ways to get there as every corner in Prague hides a little beauty!

See you this summer 2013, Josef!

Dear Valued Guest,

Thank you very much for your feedback. We are glad that you enjoyed your stay at Josef and have good memories of Prague.
It's true, Prague is one of the safest cities in Europe and for those who don't mind staying up late it's a great advise to have the city for yourself in the late or early hours - thank you for pointing this out.

All the best from the team at Josef,

My partner and I spent six nights in a Superior Deluxe room for about €600 (not including breakfast). Chic, comfortable room with some nice extras like an always-stocked Nespresso machine.

Great location. Just a few minutes' stroll to Old Town Square and Wenceslas Square. Not too far to Charles Bridge or the National Theatre. Great places to eat and drink nearby (better than the tourists traps immediately surrounding the landmarks). We walked almost everywhere.

The buffet breakfast was amazing. Great bircher muesli. All kinds of fresh fruit. A juicer and a blender so guests can make their own drinks. Eggs, sausages, bacon, salmon. Pastries and cakes. Huge selection of cheeses. Fresh coffee. It also included any of the meals from the a la carte menu, which changed daily (if it didn't, I'd probably have ordered the pancake rolls with cream cheese and mango every day).

The reception manager, Florentine, and her staff were really welcoming and helpful. Nothing seemed too much trouble for them. After we checked in, a very friendly porter showed us to our room, gave us a bit of a tour and made us coffee. Florentine's restaurant recommendations are worth heeding.

The computer room (free internet and printing) came in very handy.

Room Tip: Some of the rooms have glass walls around the bathroom - fine if you're sharing with a partner...
