Really good breakfast and close to everything.
The room even if we booked the best available was average and small.
Loved the aveda amenities though...
I went with my best friend and every time she had a bath I saw her naked or I had to go to the lobby everytime she had a bath, because the bathroom was made with glass wall. Maybe if you go with your boyfriend- husband is cool, but in my case was funny!
Also it hasn't got a restaurant and if you want to have a snack you have it at the lobby.
It has a really good concierge though.

Thank you for your review of our hotel. We are sorry to hear that you did not enjoy our design glass bathroom. Our glass bathrooms are one of the features that makes Josef unique, but we understand how it could be embarrassing with a friend. Hopefully, you can return for another visit to Josef and stay in one of our many rooms without a glass bathroom. We were pleased to hear that our concierge was of great service to you.

Thuis is the best Hotel I have ever stayed in - trust me !!! The staff are very polite, smily and helpfull! The rooms are excellent and it is without doubt the best breakfast I have ever had (and I have travelled a lot and tried many Hotels). Super for Business (good internet access in room etc..) and very central both for business and pleasure also !

Design hotel in Prag in a very convenient location only steps away from Old Town Square. Room was nice and bathroom wonderful with a huge shower area.
It's quite and you have all modern comfort. Hotel bar is serving not very original food but at the same time very nice little restaurants are all around the hotel so getting out for dinner is a must. Breakfast buffet is great with a lot of choices. Only thing I would say is that the hotel and breakfast room tend to look a little bit too sterile with all the white...but hey design is design...

I couldn't wait to stay at Josef. We spent an afternoon there drinking coffee at Christmas 2007. Friends of ours adore Josef ! So i thought it a great wekend/romantic getaway being just 2 hours from the UK. We were warmly greeted on our arrival but if i'm honest, i was a liitle dissappointed with the room (and we had chosen a superior room). It wasn't the cleanest, the dvd player wasn't working, the shower door opened when showering, coffee and milk weren't replaced, just stuff that you take for granted and although minor, made other hotels that we'd stayed at "shine". I can't really say it was bad, just a little disappointing. I'd recommend Josef to others, but i'll be checking out other options next time i come back to Prague.

We came to Hotel Josef on Friday afternoon of Valentine's weekend. The driver was awaiting us at the airport with a brand new sedan stocked with bottled water. The ride into town was swift and in style. On arrival we were greeted by the check in staff which had made sure our bags are taken upstairs and the whole process was very seamless.

Upon entering our room everything I had planned with the concierge was ready to perfecton. Rose petals all over the bed and in the shape of a heart with a rose in the middle left in tact. A box of grand chocolates and chocolate covered strewberries. Everything I could ask for in a romantic weekend and more.

We then quickly unpacked and were whisked to the Maximilian, the sister hotel down the road, for a thai zen message for the two of us. After this heavnly experince we explored the Aveda bathroom goods before heading over to dinner pre-booked by the hotel.

In a small underground alcove located just near the main square we had a 1 michelin star menu that left us craving for more indulgence. The next day after a long tour of the town we used the private sauna facilities provided. The sauna was turned on and kept just for us, full of fresh fruit, water and plenty of towels and bathrobes. We had the space for ourselves to enjoy for over one hour which was competley undistrubed and we even fall asleep in the sun chairs!!!

Overall the hotel staff were extremly attentive to our comfort and to detail, from the iPod docks in the room to having two heavnly breakfasts in bed. All was carefully done and thought of. We were in room 806 which is the top floor over looking the city. This is the floor to be on as the views are to die for and with the 180 degrees of glass windows you can really soak in the city.

This is a quality establishment and one that should be visited by every visitor coming to Prague. Taking everything into consideration the ticket price is reasonable for the value provided.
