Super convenient to sights and transport. We had room that looked not over the street, but over a courtyard and roofs. It was super-quiet. Room interior full of glass and mirrors. Interesting clientel of East Europeans and Russians. Few Americans. Outstanding breakfast.
Would stay here again.

Room Tip: Ask for a room overlooking the courtyard and not the street.

My friend and I stayed at the Alcron Radisson Blu between the 13th and 16th December in room 735.

We chose this hotel, because of its excellent reviews and its reputation.

The hotel itself is very nice and ideally located. The staff on the front desk cannot do enough for you. Very courteous and friendly, as were the staff in the bar and at breakfast.

Our twin room 735, was clean, tidy and comfortable. It had a large television, coffee machine, safe, mini bar and phone.

Our only problem was that we didn't get much sleep the first night due to the HEAT.. The air-conditioning wasn't working - we let the front desk know and an engineer was already in our room when we returned from breakfast, fixing it. The only fault was that when we returned the next night - it was exactly the same, this meant we had to sleep with the window open for the rest of the stay, as we were not going to report it again. For the price you are paying - the air con should be working and checked before guest arrival. So this was disappointing. We did advise the hotel on check out - and we were told they would look into it again!

Breakfast was served until 10.30am, and consisted of - cooked breakfast, cereals, breads, cheeses, fresh fruits, yogurts, waffles - and more.. Plus bottles of water and Prosecco. There was plenty of choice - all very nice.

The bar, which we only ever used for a quick night cap was pleasant and quiet.

We did try and book the Michelin Star Restaurant while we were there but they were already fully booked. What a shame!! :(

We arranged our airport transfers through the airport, an Audi A6 run by Tic Tac. Cost 600 each way. Both taxi's turned up on time.

We also booked a walking guide via the hotel, cost 750 each. Well worth the experience.

All in all a lovely stay - but you don't expect to stay at a 5* hotel and sleep with the window open in December.

Being part of a tour group we were booked into the Radisson Blu by the tour operator. The staff are friendly and most speak English with varying levels of proficiency. What really bugs me about the restaurants in this hotel is that they charge for tap water. Actually, tap water is more expensive than a glass of beer. I think that is just ridiculous and it should be complementary. However, the food is good and there is plenty of fresh items on the breakfast menu. Dining at the La Rotonde restaurant is expensive, with the steak dish being almost AUD$50. I have to say the prices are on the high side for what you receive and not quite what I expected for Prague; I guess they are cashing in on the tourist dollar and the popularity of Prague at the present time. I would suggest checking out less expensive eating venues and perhaps a less expensive hotel is you are travelling independently.

Room Tip: I doubt there are any rooms with a view, but I would ask for a room not overlooking the inside of the hotel if I stayed here in future.

Dear Guest,

We appreciate your comments shared here on TripAdvisor.

We are happy you enjoyed the hotel and the friendly staff, as well as the food. With regards to the food pricing in our La Rotonde restaurant, it is one of the best restaurants in Prague and the food and the experience lives up to it. The prices are absolutely competitive with those of other restaurants in its range. We do not charge for providing the tap water for the customers in the restaurant, and it definitely cannot be more expensive than beer, it must have been a misunderstanding in the middle for which we sincerely apologize.

We assure you that your concerns have been noted and will be discussed for further improvement of our services. We hope you will stay with us in the future and we will have met all of your expectations.

With kind regards,

Michal Chour

I took my partner to Prague for a treat for a 3 night stay. I had read reviews of the hotel which helped me decide. I emailed the hotel direct to let them know it was my partners birthday. On arrival we were greeted by very friendly staff who were really helpful. They upgraded us to a junior suite complimentary. That in itself was brilliant but then on his birthday he was treated to a bottle of fizz and a cake. I was really impressed from start to finish and an excellent service

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the back of the hotel as can be a little noisy in the morning

Very nice hotel, great location, the staff were so friendly and helpful, our room was on 2nd floor, very spacious, the bathroom was huge,I would recommend this hotel and would definately stay here again,it's a few minutes walk to square and another few minutes to old town and astronomical clock, being here at Christmas time is wonderful, the markets and Christmas lights and trees make it so superb,
Breakfast at hotel was great, everything was available from fruits and meats to cooked English and cereals, there was a cooking station with a chef doing omelettes and waffles
We didn't eat in either of the restaurants for dinner but menus looked very tasty, there was just so many places to eat in prague.
