“where is the bar”
Reviewed 28 February 2014

Have stayed at this hotel many times, this time i stayed with my wife and 3 other couples. We decided on the Belvedere as it has a great bar ,which is good as a meeting point when in a group.unfortunately the bar was being refurbished so closed. This was not mentioned when we booked, added to this none of our request on the booking form were met, The rooms we were given were on the noisy street side of the hotel, on the second floor, we had requested rooms away from the tram lines on the top floor. We complained and were move to a room near the function room , noisy when a party was on, and the smell of cigarette smoked drifted through he room. That said we still enjoyed our stay ,the hotel's few tram stops to the center but there are plenty of bars and restaurants, including the Spanish bar.Prague is a great place to visit particularly in the snow.

Room Tip: no point as they do not meet request

I have just returned from staying at the Belvedere Hotel in Prague, my wife & myself were there for 1 week & I have to say that the staff are so nice & friendly & really took care of us & made our stay so relaxing, We had a room which was close to a side entrance & one night there was a function on, we could not hear music etc, but did hear the door slamming when people were going out for a cigarette , but it was not really a big problem as the function was over by 11pm, but the director of the hotel moved us the next day into an even bigger room than what we had, If you go to Prague, I highly recommend staying at The Belvedere Hotel, you will not find better friendlier staff.
The hotel is walking distance from old town, (well its about a 25 min walk) but you see a lot, but you can also catch the tram right outside the hotel to go to old town, the number 26 takes you there & back, there are other ones that do the same route but not sure of the number?
I was surprised how beautiful Prague is, so will definitely return & definitely stay at the Belvedere Hotel.
I forgot to mention? breakfast was also included, its a buffet breakfast but very nice.
As far as eating out near the hotel there are lots of places & very cheap, there is a nice pizza restaurant just down the street from hotel on same side as hotel, also a very nice kebab take away next door to hotel , & many supermarkets etc.
But all in all, I definitely recommend the Hotel Belvedere.

Room Tip: our room was facing the main street, even though trams passed all the time, you could not hear them

I will go again to Hotel Belvedere when going to Prag. It's easy from the Vaclav Havel airport: Bus 199, then Tram 26 and walk 50m to the hotel. Very very friendly reception staff (6 stars!!) and quick. The room was very nice, with lot of wood and very good bed, bathroom, safe. The breakfast was good and rich, however the coffee might be improved a little. This all I got for a fair price. So I will book this hotel again. I had the address from colleagues who were in this hotel again. Thanks again to the reception staff :)

Deutsch: sehr gutes Hotel und freundliches Personal.

We are staying in this hotel during our vocation in Prague. This hotel was a rent for our turist agency and it was very good quality for us because our tour was realy chep. For example we payed for a tour less then our time rent coust. In lobby barman man do realy exelelent cappuchino-mmmm. Room was clean and fresh. To the centre of Prague you can take by tram- its 3 tram stop. If you like animal- 4 tram stop and you get a beautiful zoo. Realy good hotel.

My wife and I have really enjoyed our stay here. The service was excelent, the rooms were spotlessly clean and the bed was very comfortable. Furthermore, for most fit and able people it is only a relatively short walk into the centre of Prague.

Absolutely nothing to complain about. Location is not centered but price is good.
I slept really good. District a bit empty. Hard to find place to eat at night. But tram take you in center right actoss the street.

Stayed here for a extended weekend while attending a event in town. Chosen mainly for its location and proximity to the tram.

The check-in process was slow, really slow. But the staff was friendly, so this is no big issue. The biggest issue was the lack of air condition in the room, it can get quite hot in the summer. The room looks old, and the bed had quite a hard mattress. I actually think the beds were missing the top mattress. Another funny thing is the bathroom lighting, which is triggered by a motion sensor. Only problem is that the sensor won't "see you" in the shower, so suddenly you're showering in the dark... Other than that, the room was perfectly OK.

The breakfast was very good! WiFi was a bit slow, but better than nothing.

To sum it up: the location is good, the room was OK, the breakfast was very good and the price was good. Would easily recommend this to a friend.
