“Great Value”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 December 2013

This hotel was a stones throw from the Charles Bridge and within walking distance of all
the sights Prague has to offer. The hotel can be reached by public transportation from the airport.
We found everybody involved in running the hotel to be friendly and very helpful, nothing was to much trouble. Excursions can be booked at reception without any problems, a special mention to Alex who made our visit most welcome. Our room was spacious clean and had a beautiful painted ceiling. Bathroom was modern and well stocked.
Breakfast time there was plenty of choice to eat and drink hot and cold.
All in all this was a most enjoyable stay at this hotel.

Room Tip: All rooms were of an excellent standard

We stayed in this hotel and it yas a bit dissapointing. The room with shower was big enough, but we had no shower gel (but bath foam??), no slippers or bathcoat. When I asked it at the reception, they told me I could buy it somewhere behind the corner.
The location is perfect, receptionist friendly. Breakfast was very very poor

You could barely beat the location of this hotel - 2 minutes walk from Charles Bridge which in turn leads to the Old Square. Friendly and helpful staff, good assortment of food available for breakfast and large bedrooms. The decor is artistic and ingenious with hand painted exposed ceiling beams in our bedroom and an amazing painted scene in my brothers room. On recommendation by receptionist, we ate around the corner (by trams) at the Malostranka Deseda, Excellent value for money with traditional Czech food from the extensive menu - highly recommended.

The hotel like the city of Prague was a wonderful experience. It is located right before the Charles Bridge near all the sights the city has to offer. The hotel is easy to find and not far from the main public transportation. In addition to It being very clean, the staff was wonderful, and the room was beautiful. Of all these great things the staff was above all the best of the experience. The staff,Alex in particular, did everything to make our stay comfortable. His attitude was one that a traveller can wish to find when they are in a new and foreign city. I reccomend this hotel based on the experience I had and hope many can enjoy Prague from this hotel.

Room Tip: The hotel does not have a fitness center but the review bubbles did not let me select n/a or no bubb...

We had a suite - the room was really large with old style furniture in. The bathroom was really small. The bath was 4 foot in length and to get in it to have a shower it was like mounting a horse - very hard and quite dangerous. The shower also was head height for a person who is 5 foot 4 inches. My husband struggled with both bath and shower as he is 6 foot 5. The noise from the street up until 0400am was really noisy (with windows shut) of revellers, shouting. The hotel is old hence they are limited what they can do with it and staff are really nice. Breakfast is a no no. It is a bit smelly in the basement and breakfast offerings is really poor (I just had 2 slices of toast everyday). This hotel is good for just a one night stay only, any further length of time then I would go further out of the main drag and book elsewhere.

Room Tip: Try to get room at back of hotel rather than on front street or you won't get any sleep

Impression of hotel is grander than reality but we felt there was an authenticity about the building and we liked the decor and furnishings.
The photo of the bedroom shown unfortunately was not ours(!!) but our room (208) with its high ceilings seemed spacious enough and although small we had no complaints as we were out most of the time enjoying this wonderful city. Bed was comfortable and as in many continental hotels, we had 2 single duvets on the double bed - a very good idea! Found the room rather warm - a plus for most visitors I would think.
Staff were always more than helpful and friendly.
Breakfast basic but adequate: cereals / fresh fruit and yoghurt / continental meats and cheese / lovely fresh bread and rolls; would have been good if hot food was replenished by staff as one morning we arrived rather late to find little left. Not the full English - but this is the continent!
Excellent location. Good value for money. Would stay again.

Small hotel near the Charles bridge, with lots of shops and restaurants within close walking distance. Very attentive desk staff, decent, traditional breakfast in the basement restaurant, and the room was clean with everything working.

Was a fine place for the 1 night I was there and the location was perfect.
