Our room is about 350 Square feet, very clean and basic. Their built in hand soap squeeze bottle is also the shampoo. No conditioner or lotion. If you are picky about hair products, pack your own.

The free wi-fi is reliable. The office center has 3 computers and a printer free of charge!

I found the front desk helpful and they speak English very well (I even heard the night staff speak both English & Spanish). You can book airport transfers, a driver to the main train station, or a driver to Prague castle through the front desk. It's about $15 for one car (no extra amount for up to 4 passengers).

The service wasn't available through their website, but I was able to do it in person. FYI - the hike up to Prague castle is 20 min. You can take the 22 tram up to Prague castle, but , you must buy the ticket at a metro station first. Tickets are not sold on the bus.

Our breakfast was basic: boiled eggs, cereal, ham, sausage, and bread.

We arrived in May when the weather was still cold. The heater is a radiator by the wall and works by turning a knob. The fan is a white box that is above the door. The fan works by remote control, which must be aimed up towards the ceiling or it won't turn on.

Across the street is one Indian Restaurant and one Italian restaurant. However, head outside the hotel, turn right and you are 5 minutes away from Old Town and many restaurant options. If you turn left instead, you are walking towards Charles Bridge.

I deducted one star because I would have liked a bigger room, a higher bed, and more space between the bed and uh . . . the toilet.

Overall, I loved the convenience of Cloister Inn. It's free hot chocolate, coffee, and tea at the lobby is a nice touch!

Very nice hotel, feel secured and staff are very organized and well trained. Denifitely recommend to anyone who visits for the first time. Location wise, it is perfect. Near to anywhere you want to go in Prague.

Ps breadfast is another plus!

In our first visit of Prag we stayed at a much more distant place. This one was a nice surprise, especially as we booked it after arriving quite late in the evening. Apparently the reception guy gave us quite a 'ridiculous' price on the phone, but was honest enough to keep it, when we actually got there. To reach the room you had to walk through various corridors which gave you the feeling of a past mansion, but the room was nice and comfortable, and breakfast was great.
The only issue was with parking the car, but following the man's advice I managed to find a free spot not too far away. On the next day I moved the car across the river to avoid paying high parking rates.

Four of us had 2 rooms- spacious and clean, with a small frig. Everything was perfect, but the breakfast was worth the price of the stay. It is incredible- eggs and ham and cereals-even muesli- and much more. We were never hungry for lunch
And the location was ideal, quiet yet within a few blocks of all major attractions. I would return here in a second

Not sure if this happened only to us in a busy period, however we booked a room 3 months in advance so staying in the dark ground floor with lovely view over the car park and in a separate cluster of staff-only doors - accessible through another locked door - is definitely a bad treatment. I can understand if this was a last-second booking but it wasn't. I also wonder if this was because we already paid with an hotel voucher through British Airways. Anyway to add to the misery of the treatment we also got a twin room when I do not remember we specifically asked for it. The energetic guy at the reception said they were full booked so I stopped my complaint before getting to the twin room issue as I trusted that was really full. Before leaving the girl at the reception attempted to charge me for a disposable razon I requested the day of the check-out. It never happened to me before at any hotel worldwide, regardless of the stars. I am pretty sure this was an isolated treatment but my suggestion is that, apart from the great location which is 3 minutes away from Bridge Charles and from other sights, you may find other places with more characters and better breakfast which was a bit tasteless, especially sweets and cakes. The building and interior is quite bland and modern in a city that is very beautiful thanks to his architecture, it looks like this is one of the few modern building in that area. Maybe it is the cost of travelling during peak time (Easter break) but our stay was disappointing, also compared to the price. We waisted our money and also spoiled our stay. Next time I would consider any of the private rooms websites which are very popular right now instead of risking to sleep in a "dark garage". Not recommended.

Room Tip: Be suspicious of any ground floor room accessible through another locked door before getting into yo...

Dear Guest,
Thank you for your review though it is rather negative. Unfortunatelly, we have not received any rooming specification beforehand. There was no bedding preference stated on British Airways Holidas voucher and since our hotel was fully booked, we could not move you to any other room.
The room has a standard size of 25 square meters with large window facing small parking lot. It is located on a ground floor and is very quiet, which many of our guests appreciate. It is situated in a hallway separated from front desk area by fire protection door. Hotel safety and fire protection are our priorities and are inspected regularly by British Airways Holidays safety specialists, and approved with certificate of excellency. The door which you call “staff door“ is very important safety unit.
Since we are located in middle of Prague Old Town, our rooms have not any panoramic view anyway.
Regarding the disposable razon, we charge this for a standard rate of CZK 50 (EUR 1,8) and you have received on complimentary basis.

Best regards

The Cloister Inn is a comfortable and functional hotel. The staff were very welcoming and informative. On arrival we were told where to head to find our room, despite it being down a small corridor that looked as though it housed the staff...it was large, comfortable and relatively quiet.
The breakfasts were great, a variety of hot and cold foods. Our room was at street level which concerned me at first, but the street itself was very quiet.
Beds were comfortable and room clean (although the pillows were a bit like sandbags!) overall a really pleasant short break hotel, I would recommend it.

Fantastic place to stay.
Excellent reception staff who did everything they could to make the stay enjoyable.
Was given a smoking room within a separate part of the hotel. Brilliant idea.
Location was great - a lovely 10 minute walk into the centre with lots of bars, restaurants along the way.
Would definitely stay here again when returning to Prague
