clean ,big rooms, basic furniture , super friendly stuff from reception to breakfast stuff ,great location easily you can walk to every where you want in Prague .
one bad point that you have to walk a lot after you get to your hotel to get to your room if you are in a building as what happened with me and you have to change tow elevator.
if im there next time i will go to the same hotel .

Room Tip: dont stay in building A.

Getting a hotel in the right location for a city visit is everything.
The Cloister Hotel in Praha (Prague) is such a choice, with all the main attractions within a walking distance of around 10 minuets. Let your feet do the walking .....
There is also a brilliant surface tram and bus system and an underground metro if you limping ...

It's a mistake to judge Praha as less than London, Paris, Amsterdam, Berlin or Firenze.
The truth is its in the same league for history and buildings, and equal in cultural entertainment and cuisine.

It has it all, the river, the hills, the castles and wonderfull large majestic buildings.
Not to mention it was the seat of Hasburg power before Viennia ......

Room Tip: We hired a double, a triple and a twin and all were excellent and spacious Maybe if you can choose...

I am very pleased with my choice about staying at Cloister Inn during our visit to this beautiful city. The hotel have a perfect location and you can access by walking distance the majority of the landmarks and attractions. In addition the rooms are comfortable, spacious and clean, and you can enjoy a good free breakfast every morning.

This hotel is situated in the heart of Prague, a few minutes away from all the most important tourist attractions, but it is in a quiet street and this will make your stay really enjoyable. It is also close to tram and underground so that you can easily visit other areas of Prague using public transport. Rooms are clean, staff is friendly, free coffee is available in the hall, free wifi in your room, price is good value for what you get! Parking is available at an extra price. I really recommend it.

We stayed for a total of 6 days (on two separate occasions). It is a three-star hotel, however, its staff are 5-star. I haven’t come across more friendly people in reception than here. I had a few requests and they were only too eager to help. We had different rooms in two stays and they were both very good. They were both large rooms, approx. 50 sq. metres. There is a free beer in the fridge on arrival, and free coffee and tea in the foyer. Breakfast was also thrown in for the price, which in itself was very reasonable. Wifi meets our needs although not overly quick (the 5th floor room’s wifi was much slower than the 3rd level room). However, wifi reception in the lobby is very good, plus there’s a printer networked to any one of the 3 PCs in the lobby. The reception staff is also very willing to print documents for you. The hotel is located in the ‘old’ section of town and within walking distance to the river and the town centre. We bought a two-day ‘hop on/hop off’ bus tickets to go to those other places abit further away such as the castle. Highly recommend this hotel.

Me, my sister, her husband and our uncle stayed here for 3 nights. We arrived at Praha hlavní nádraží (the main train station) from Berlin, from there we took no.9 tram to stop Národní divadlo which is south of the Hotel. No fusses during check-in as all our rooms were booked and paid. We were also given password for the hotel free WiFi.

Our uncle had a single room at the main block while my sister and I had the double rooms at A wing that seemed like located at the next building which was a long walk away from the lobby. My room was A525 located at the end of a hallway. It had no view and looked out to a blank wall of the main building. The room was equipped with air-conditioning (+). Room was spacious and had a full length mirror. There was a safe and a mini fridge. Bathroom was a good size, had a hair dryer but I thought the shower cubicle was small even for my Asian size. There were some English channels on the TV too.

The hotel offered free coffee and tea throughout the day at the lobby lounge. There was a vending machine too. Do get a bottle of water at 25KC before you go out for your tour because vendors at the tourist areas sell them at 50KC. Breakfast was served at Level 4 in the main building, choices were pretty standard (boring) and didn’t change for the 3 days I was there.

I thought the location is very centralized. It is 5 min to Národní divadlo tram station (also the National Theater), 8 min to Charles Bridge and 10 min to Old town. Plenty of restaurants nearby. There is also a laundry shop just round the corner that does 1 drum wash & dry for 200KC (they only accept KC)

You can also get tram tickets (30/60 min) at the Hotel Reception and validate them on the tram.

Room Tip: Rooms at A wing are long walk away, have to maneuver through a few corridors, stairs and 2 lifts

The car parking, although the only expensive-ish thing, was safe and in the courtyard behind the hotel. The staff were always very helpful and the breakfast was more average-to-good than excellent. The room we had in the "A" annexe, reached by a sequence of corridors off specific floors, was very large and everything worked well. If you are prepared to explore by foot, everything in the centre of Prague, where the hotel is, is pretty close and restaurants and bars of good quality and variety too (plus the good beer is so cheap!) We only succumbed to a ride on the nearby 22 tram up the hill to the Castle complex on full-day-two. Whilst the hotel does have a tough of austerity left over from its days as a convent or a haunt of the Czech secret police, we were very pleased with the location, the staff and the value (and can see why ratings have been high).

Room Tip: It maybe simpler to avoid annexe A rooms to save a trek?
