“Great location, lots of little perks, decent rooms”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 August 2014

Cloister Inn is in a fantastic location, only a couple of minutes walk away from the Charles Bridge. Upon arrival, we were greeted warmly and made aware of the fact that there was free WiFi, free computer use and free printing available in the lobby; the kind of services which are invaluable for researching things to do and to print out tickets.

The room was pleasant, with a fantastic shower, although no bath. The double bed consisted of two single beds pushed together, leaving a slight gap in the middle, although this is a minor complaint.

In conclusion: a pretty solid hotel in a fantastic location.

We stayed for a week. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful and the hotel is well located for someone wishing to explore all of central Prague on foot. Breakfast was not as imaginative as that in other hotels we have used but perfectly adequate. There are no coffee making facilities in the rooms but free drinks in the reception and they provided a free beer and some water in the room.

No complaints at all and would use again.

Room Tip: We were at the back of the hotel and there was noise from nearby flats and some excitable noisy bird...

Clean, comfortable and spacious hotel well situated in the heart of the old town. Staff were extremely helpful and pleasant, even accommodating a coeliac diet (GF bread and crackers for breakfast in addition to the buffet of food already provided). We would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family!

Cloister Inn has a great location in the old town.Rooms lack charm but ours was clean and large.Buffet breakfast included many choices and was well presented in a large room. The best thing about the hotel was the reception staff. They were so helpful and accommodating by booking tours for us and sorting out our electrical. We enjoyed their good humour as well.

My husband and I stayed at the Cloister Inn for a week during summer high season in Prague. We both found the hotel to be exactly what we required: clean, comfortable, safe, reasonably priced, with excellent customer service and a tasty, healthy breakfast. The location is a renovated monastery that includes a second "wing" attached by an indoor "bridge" with winding hallways and two elevators (one up and one down) to get to the rooms. The rooms I saw are a nice mix of old (high ceilings, tall glass windows, crown molding) and new (modern bathroom fixtures, in room safe, mini fridge). The rooms are spacious with comfortable beds. The breakfast room was a bit of a hike from our room, but the offerings were tasty and fresh and included breads, fruit, veg, cheeses, sausages, beans, coffee, tea, cereals etc. It was a great way to start our day and then full of good food, to head out to explore Prague. The hotel is located in the "old city" within walking distance to everything. The staff was excellent. From our very first impression/interaction to our check-out, the entire staff was helpful, cheerful, efficient, and utterly professional. This is saying a lot because Prague has a well-deserved reputation for being a place with bad customer service. I highly recommend this hotel and will return for another stay next time we are in Central Europe. Word of caution, if you are traveling by car and need a parking place, make a reservation with the hotel early and be ready to pay 20 Euros a night for parking. There is little to no public parking available and the going rate for a public lot is 25-30 Euros a night.

Room Tip: Our room was on the 4th floor of the second building and had a nice A/C unit and double glass window...

Well situated for lots of tourist destinations, clean and well priced. But it is basic. The reception area is bright and airy, staff very helpful and let us leave cases in lock up until room was ready, also helped with plug adapter as mine didn’t fit. Super shower and hair dryer provided.
Hot drinks available in reception, but that powdered milk in tea was horrendous. A big downside for me was no facilities in the room to make an early morning or late night drink. Who wants to go into reception for a drink in their dressing gown! And it was forbidden to take drinks out of reception. There seems to be a real eye placed on costing. A kettle in the room would be an improvement. Breakfast was continental and a bit boring.
Free Wifi and printing facilities in Reception. If I visited again I'd take a travelling kettle.

Room Tip: If you like an early morning drink, take your own kettle.

This is a boutique size hotel set right n the heart of the old town but in a very quiet street so sleeping no problems. The breakfast is excellent. The staff and in particular Adam are terrific. Why anyone would want to stay elsewhere is beyond me! If you not able bodied then there are some stairs and walking involved.
