We stayed here for a conference that was (rather helpfully) going on over the road. The hotel staff are wonderfully welcoming and kind. The service was fast and exceptionally friendly. The hotel is beautiful and clean and never feels crowded or busy. The rooms are beautiful and I've never slept in a comfier bed. The restaurants are lovely and the food is delicious. The gym is great but the real winner is the pool on the 26th floor that looks out over the city. The few niggles that lost the final star were a shower that went from hot to cold of its own accord and the fact we couldn't pick up wifi in our room. I'd definitely recommend this hotel and would happily stay here again.

Room Tip: Ask for a north facing room for the best views.

I was a bit hesitant visiting from the states, but I have to say I absolutely loved this hotel. The location was fantastic with a one-minute walk to the metro. The staff was amazing. Everyone was kind and professional. I'll mention my room service attendant by name - Sobhy. If you get him you'll have nothing short of fantastic service. A definite place to stay if you want great service.

Prague Hotel
We stayed at the Corinthia Hotel Prague for a very extended week-end (4 nights) and found the hotel the accommodation to be fantastic value for money. It is about 40-50minutes away from the airport and a 10minute metro journey from Old Town Prague. There is very little else around the hotel other than houses which we enjoyed, it was away from the busy tourist areas and noise but close enough to enjoy everything we wanted.

The room was a good size and well equipped with a very large bed, bath & shower, desk and wide screen TV. The view from our room wasn't great but I'm sure one a bit higher up would be amazing.

The hotel bar & restaurant is very expensive in Czech terms but still fairly cheap compared to UK prices. I would recommend walking to the other side of the metro station to the Japenese restaurant if you are desperate and don't want to travel too far from the hotel, your wallet will thank you. There is also a great little Thai/Sushi restaurant a five minute walk away from the hotel which I would highly recommend (see my other reviews for info).

All the staff are brilliant, very helpful and courteous with plenty of knowledge of Prague that they are only too happy to share. We found the hotel only sells 1 day Metro tickets, unless you are going to make more than 1 return journey into town in 24 hours or are going to be using the metro/tram all day you are better off purchasing a 30minute ticket from the station. When using the metro watch out for people approaching you holding what looks like a pebble in their hand, we thought they were trying to sell something but they are in fact ticket inspectors.

The hotel spa/pool is situated on one of the top floors. The pool area offers a breathtaking view across the city and its worth popping for a swim just for that. The relaxation room includes a sauna, steam room and plunge pool. Apparently the female area was quite busy, thankfully the male one was not.

One thing the hotel doesn't really 'publicise' is their 24hour car service. They have a small fleet of hotel cars which act as private taxis for hotel guests, you can phone up reception and ask them to come and collect you from anywhere in the city. This service has a small premium (about 50-100CZK more than a taxi) but it offers great peace of mind and they were very quick to turn up when we called.

A high quality hotel with great facilities and very much worth the money.

Room Tip: High up facing into city would probably offer a good view.

My girlfriend and I had a wonderful time at the Cornthia Hotel! All staff members we dealt with were thoroughly professional and helpful and the facilities throughout were outstanding. We originally had a business level room but got upgraded to executive priveleges (although with the same room) after a troublesome first night with the air conditioning. The staff I dealt with (mainly Martin at the front desk and especially Gilles) were extremely understanding and transformed what could have been a very unpleasant stay into an excellent one. A special recommendation must be made in relation to the quality of food in 'The Grill' -(best meal I had in Prague, albeit the most expensive as well!!!) and to the swimming pool on the top floor, which is a truly luxurious place to relax with stunning views. The beds were of a very high quality. The executive lounge has stunning views over the city and is a lovely place to have breakfast in. Conscierge service is extremely helpfu and efficient. Special mentions must go to staff members Gilles (manager), Martin (reception) and Luigi (trainee) who were thoroughly helpful throughout our stay. David (Ireland)

The staff were very pleasant, the hotel is located right next to a metro station and about a 40 minute walk from the centre of town. We had a really good deal on the rates and what we got in return was excellent value. The rooms were nice, beautiful views, most comfortable bed ever, free entrance to the facilities (swimming pool, sauna, steambath, fitness) if you go between 12-13 o'clock (you can stay as long as you like), free wifi. If you had any questions or problems, the hotel staff was always there to help. Parking is quite expensive, but if you use your brain, you can park round the corner in a street for free (6min walk from hotel)...

Hotel looks great and offers great looks. Rooms are clean, spiffy. BUT beds are awful -- feel the springs. Walls are paper thin -- next door neighbors were having a great time. Desk staff was helpful, especially concierge; dining staff mixed. Hotel is conveniently located next to its own metro station which is five minutes from Old Town. Also convenient to train station. If we were returning to Prague we'd find another place to stay.
