I stayed at the hotel Globus a couple of weeks ago and I can't say I was impressed with the quality of the service received there.
The hotel has a convenient location, close to the Chodov shopping mall, and the Metro station isn't that far, which is good. The surroundings are maybe one of the best qualities of the hotel, because at the back there is a nice terrace with benches, overlooking a huge park, so if you want to have a beer in the nature with friends, this is a great amenity. The neighborhood seems quite calm and safe so you can leave the kids outside without worrying too much about them.
The interior is a completely different story. Rooms are quite small and I got a room overlooking a tin roof (I could step outside and walk over it...yes, that close to the window), so imagine the temperature inside if you are staying in July or August (as I did). Of course, a room switch isn't an option since they are alyays full, according to the receptionist. The floors are dirty, there are holes in the doors (made by sharp objects I suppose), the furniture is worn-out and rather wobbly (I didnt dare to take my clothes out of the bag and put it into the closet because I was afraid it might collapse). The beds are worn out, uncomfortable, and the pillows are as thin as a blanket. The food was regular, the usual continental stuff (sausages, pepperoni, nutella and marmelades...), nothing too fancy but if you can settle to regular-quality food, you won't be hungry.
Anyhow, if you don't expect too much and just need a place to crash and have a high-calorie breakfast after a wild night out, this is the place for you. However, if you expect anything more than having a roof over your head, pay an extra euro and choose something else.

Room tip: Don't take rooms at the ground floor, those are the worst (I had a brief look at it). The first floor might give you a view on the tin roof (that's where I stayed), so try to avoid it too. Ask for the second floor if possible.

We have just come back from having a four day city break in prague staying at the Hotel Globus. To get to the hotel from prague airport is actually quite easy. When you come out of the airport go to the tourist information office and buy a bus ticket. You can buy tickects for one day ,two days and three days. Three days cost us 310 ck but the same ticket can be used on the metro and trams. From here you catch the 119 bus from the airport and you get off at Dejvicka . The metro is next to the bus stop and this is a green line. Get on the metro and get off at museum and change on to the red line and then get off at Rozitly. The Gobus is directly behind the metro station a five minute walk. The hotel is clean and tidy but it does not have air con or hairdryers in the room. Breakfast is simple continental style but food in the pub at the globus is good and cheap as is the beer 33ck a pint. To get to the tourist attractions you need to get back on the metro from the globus and head for museum stop as you exit the station turn left and you are are at the top of Wenceslas square just keep walking straight and eventually you will enter the old town were the old clock is along with market stalls and street entertainers. The river cruises are very good value at 22o kc each for one hour excursion. Prague castle and funnicular railway is good. Certainly worth a visit to is prague zoo excellent day with lots to see get here by taking the 112 bus it terminates at the zoo. St cyrils crypt is also well worth a visit with history from the war and there are many churches to visit at a small cost. The food in prague is good but it pays to shop around as prices can vary try the traditional potatoe soup very nice. All in all Prague is well worth a visit there are a lot of police around so you feel safe one tip i will say dont change money at street exchanges please use banks they give you much better rates.

This hotel has very good price/quality ratio. We stayed there for 4 days-BB. Rooms are nice and clean, breakast is good and the staff at the reception desk was polite, ready to help and they speak quite good English. About 300m from the hotel is supermarket and 300m on the other side is metro station so it is very easy and fast to get to the centre of Prague from the hotel. Also there is nice restoran in front of the hotel. I would go back to this hotel if I visit Prague again.

This has been one of the worst experience abroad, very bad staff, very bad food and the worst place to be, never go there it's not worth while, there's no real good reasonwhich could invite you to stay there. Choose any other hotel, but not this one.

Room tip: Choose another hotel
