Spend 1 night in this hotel as we had to extend a night in Prague and we weren't prepared to pay the full price to our previous hotel (K+K Central) and chose Hotel Harmony due to it's very reasonable price, near location to K+K and the decent reviews on TA.
We were put into a very big room in the first floor facing the street. The room had almost 1 lounge area, 1 bedroom area and 1 storage area together with the washroom so it is pretty massive. However the hotel has no air conditioning and we had to leave the windows opened. Unfortunately the room is facing the main road with a tram station right below our room so it was ultra noisy at night.
We are lucky that it was a pretty cold summer night as if it was one of the hotter night, we would have struggled without the air conditioning.
The condition of the room was pretty bad and we still had physical keys and lock to get into the room. The entire room is pretty dated and is in serious need of updating.
I guess you pay for what you get. This is definitely not close to a 3 star hotel. It probably is 20 years ago but it's 2013 now and i have stayed in a lot of 3 stars hotel that is much more modern than this at similar price in other countries.
The complimentary breakfast was ok but is nothing to shout about.
Plus: cheap, complimentary wifi, free breakfast, close to the old town
Bad: no air cond, ultra noisy at night, too dated for 2013
Overall, pretty disappointing although I had to say price is a big motivating factor and for just one night, I will accept what I get for the price paid. Definitely a big no no if it is more than 1 night for me.
