“Good Hotel Overall”
Reviewed 19 March 2013

Second time at the Hilton Prague in two years. Room was nice enough, and pretty well appointed, service was good and efficient. This hotel can accommodate very large conference groups (500-750) quite well, and lunches and coffee breaks were good. Only drawbacks were that i) very efficient and friendly room service was a bit pricey in respect of cover / tray charge ii) WiFi has not improved and worked 50% of the time. You're fine with a laptop as the LAN cable works well, but iPads/iPods etc are not ideal

All in all, a good experience....

Dear Guest,

Allow me to thank you for choosing the Hilton Prague hotel during your recent visit of the Czech Republic again.

Please accept my sincere apologies regarding the difficulties with Wi-Fi connection. Let me assure you that we are constantly increasing Wi-Fi signal in all guest rooms as well as public areas. Stayed here for a conference. The best part is the hotel despite huge retains a very warm and personal touch. Breakfast was real good. No need to take cabs as there is a metro very near . To reach the metro one needs to exit by the side entrance where the buses are parked. Then cross the small road and cut across the shops to reach the second road . The metro is just opposite . Did not see any ticket counters inside but the trick is you can get tickets from the small shop in front of the station.
For those who want a good night of clubbing experience , I found gold fingers to be the best club in terms of quality as well as price . The 300 crown offer for 5 beers is outta the world.

Room Tip: Corners are small but have good views of the roads outside

Nice huge luxury hotel with excellent amenities. Around 10 mins walk to historic centre. Lovely and delicious food in the restaurant but a bit pricey. Staff welcoming and definitely will use this hotel when coming back to prague.

Going their for a conference, i expected a standard congresshotel with no/few attractions in a big big box.

The good news, not everything became true...

Arrival was early (way to early) but room on the exec floor was ready (upgrade due to HH Gold). Inside view, right next to the stairs... Good room (heard the standard rooms are lower scale) with nice bath room and bath tub.

Conference site well equipped and conviniently located - not the endless walks like in Vegas or Madrid. Restaurants okay, even handling the larger group (400+).

Almost friendly staff, nice lounge, large parking facilities.

very good: walking distance to the center (3 mins. to Hilton Old town).

bad: Elevator slow, surroundings (hallways, restrooms) not up-todate; TV Programm somewhat fuzzy (too often in US with HD quality...)

Overall good business hotel with a nice Exec Lounge (not more than that since i know what the Kerry Hotels in China provide ...).

Room Tip: try to get one towards Oldtown

Nice huge hotel 10/15 mns walk from the centre . You will have to cross the main road by an underground path or by an airbridge. Then you will walk and discover this beautiful city . Coming back you will enjoy the swimming pool at the hotel or the SPA or the Gym .Staff extremely friendly and good service overall .
Little tip : ask for a room next to the lifts to avoid walking through the very long corridors each time you go or depart from your room

This is a huge luxurious hotel with a beautiful atrium inside and 800 rooms. Good location, nice executive level and service, friendly staff, beautiful gym and pool but rooms look dated.

Many travellers said the hotel was too far away from the center, but you can walk only 5 minutes to the station taking you to Namesti Republiky, or you can walk to the same place, only 15 minutes, left on exiting the hotel and then first street on your right under the highway. So location is not a problem.

The good sides:
-executive level is very nice. Breakfast is very good, with many offers and you can have access to the lounge where you can find afternoon snacks, cakes, wine and drinks+ appetizers in the evening. Some business groups or parties can be very loud, though,
-the hotel is very clean, and luxurious. The dimly lit Atrium at night and the calm gives a beautiful atmosphere, you can have access to several restaurants on site. The gym and pool are equally wonderful, included in your rate and there was hardly anybody there.
-the executive rooms are spacious and very clean, the bathroom comes with bath and shower, robes, and toilet/cosmetics products. You can find tea/coffee facilities, a hairdryer, ironing board, a safe etc characteristic of a 5* hotel. Room service also possible. Flat screen TV with services.
Room for improvements:
- the very large bed is not so large, looks a bit smaller than King actually.
- the mattress is really too hard!
- the beige wallpaper looks a bit dated and worn out and the décor is really impersonal, the room is not very cheerful to be in.
-the staff is helpful, and very polite, executive staff is globally very plesant, but without the personal extra touch which makes a difference
-the Wifi access is not free, you have to connect to the Hilton access and then pay! Especially for the executive level floor, but for all floors, this is a very serious drawback, many other luxury hotels in Prague offer it free and all the 3* and 4*.

A very nice hotel to stay in, relaxing and calm atmosphere, but we have stayed in many good hotels and a few things are needed to make it exceptional

Room Tip: If possible, book a room on the executive level, with lounge access and breakfast included, and ask...

Dear Valued Traveller,

Thank you very much for staying at the Hilton Prague Hotel while visiting our beautiful city and for sharing such a detailed review about your stay.

With great pleasure I read, that you had a pleasant stay with us and that you enjoyed our facilities, especially, our Executive Lounge, our pool and gym, our Atrium, and that you remained satisfied with the service provided by our Team.

Concerning our beds size, please allow me to mention, that the size of our King beds is 180cm x 200cm. In regards to the mattress hardness, I regret we were not aware during your stay, that the mattress was too hard to your taste; we would have been delighted to provide you with a special mattress cover, which makes it softer.

Regarding the Wi-Fi, please let me inform you, that the W-Fi access is complimentary in all the hotel public areas, including the Executive Lounge. In addition, for Gold and Diamond Hilton Honor members the internet access is complimentary not only in the hotel public areas, but also in the guest rooms.

We certainly appreciate your most valuable feedback and will take it into consideration, as we are striving to improve our facilities and services on daily basis to be able to provide our guests with the deserved services.

Looking forward to hosting you in our property in the future and please feel free to contact me on dutymanager.prague@hilton.com if you decide to visit us again and I will prepare for you a softer mattress for a comfortable sleep.

Sincerely Yours,

Irina Maizlish

Good, classic Hilton experience. As a HHonnors Gold I was upgraded to a nice room with a view on the old city and the river. The staff is extremely helpful, smiling and positive. My only remarks are on the smoking policy (which seems to be pretty loose in Czech Republic) - too much smoking spots and no additional ventilation, making the overall experience quite smelly - and the executive lounge - limited choice of food and drinks, compared to the usual in Marriotts for example. The location is also excellent - at a walking distance from key hallmarks of the city.
I would say that my overall experience was pretty positive and I do recommend this hotel
