I was in Prague for fun after a business trip to Berlin, and I loved the Jewel Hotel! It was situated perfectly in a neighborhood central to all sites without being annoyingly planted in their midst. The proprietors and front desk staff were lovely and accommodating and I'm so glad we took them up on their offer of the hotel's airport shuttle service - much cheaper than what a taxi quoted us. My sister and I loved the jewel themed rooms and all the glamorous touches (incl. under-bed lighting) that came with it, and loved the personal touch of our evening chocolate treats to welcome us home after a day of exploring. And the breakfast was divine, especially when consumed on the outdoor sidewalk space. Loved the jewel lit bar as well! Would definitely come back!

Great location, center of it all. Rooms were not large but were in no means cramped. We had two of the larger rooms (diamond and ruby). Tastefully decorated. Staff was courteous and eager to please. Not only was the included breakfast great, lunch and dinner options were lovely and well priced as well.

Service got four stars only because sometimes the woman serving breakfast had slight language issues in understanding our order (agreed we were a large party of six)
Sleep quality got four stars because though the beds were super comfy, sometimes the street noise can be heard in the rooms at night

Despite this, based on overall experience, we would highly recommend. Thanks for everything!

It was nice stay at the hotel, the location is great and the bar in the nights, but the room was very small for the price that I paid. The hotel doesn't have elevator!!!! It's dangerous go up and go down with the hand baggage.
The receptionist promised me to can take the breakfast at 7 but it was impossible.
I must wait the receptionist more 10 min to check out

Dear all,

thank you very much for your review.

I would like to comment on your observations.

The room size is always shown on the website and online hotel sellers including the information, that we have the elevator only for the luggages as we are the small hotel in the historical building.

The breakfast is served every day from 07:30 am. Usually, the breakfast is ready to serve at 7:00 am. The problem was that the bakery products did not arrive at the time and the receptionist tried to secure that at the adjacent supermarket. Therefore the receptionist was not available at the reception desk.

We are helping all gusts with luggages up and down and we have elavator for luggages. The guest did not call and did not ask for help.

Guest paid 120,-Euro for Business DBL room with breakfast.

Thank you very much for understanding.

We recently stayed here for 6 nights in June. We highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay again. We loved the service (very warm, friendly -- a sharp contrast to other Czech customer service), the breakfast (cold buffet and hot a la carte included -- with espresso/capuccino/latte etc..), the rooms (impeccably clean and comfortable -- with turn down service, fresh fruit water, and handmade desserts daily), and the location (very close to Wenceslas Square and Old Town, but on a quiet street).

Since we stayed for at least 5 nights, they picked us up from the airport for free with a professional driver. This was a great touch!! (We would have liked to have been dropped off too - but we would have had to pay for that. We used public transport instead).

My only gripe is that we sometimes didn't get hot water for the shower... We had better luck in the evevning with hote water than in the morning.

Room Tip: We stayed in Amethyst (on the first floor -- second floor for American). It faced the main road, bu...

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights during a recent couples vacation. Having been to Europe a few times before I was expecting the usual clean but generic hotel. I was pleasantly surprised by the Jewel Hotel. It is centrally located and meticulously kept. The rooms are small but very functional and well-designed and more than adequate for a comfortable stay. The bathroom and shower were spotless. The sitting bench area in the room was a great little hangout, read your book spot. The buffet breakfast was delicious; the freshly squeezed orange and grapefruit juice was a nice addition. Overall this hotel is well worth every penny spent. It is a great little boutique hotel for anyone who likes to get away from the chain hotel during their vacation. I would highly recommend the hotel!

Stayed at the Design Hotel Jewel Pague in mid-June 2013. Location, service, and attention to detail were all exceptional. Location is within walking distance to Old Town and indeed most of the sites one would visit in Prague. Service was impeccable - everything from breakfast to scheduling a haircut to tour referral were quick, efficient and very friendly. Every evening special handmade desserts were delivered to our room along with cards retelling special Prague ghost stories. Design and decor were fantastic. Also recommend for dinner and drinks. Will definitely stay there again. Very highly recommend.
