I have stayed for 3 nights in this hotel, the room was quite nice, bigger than expected, with 2 separate spaces for the bath, one with the shower and the other one with the toilet. The bed was double, although i have booked for a single room and I had a very good sleep every night. The hotel is very quiet, the staff is helpful, they gave me marked maps and all the necessary directions. The breakfast was rich, in a little breakfast room with nice paintings. Regarding the position of the hotel, it is in the Andel's area, at 400m from metro station and a little less to the tram station. But I have never used the public transport to the centre of Prague, I always walked, like distance is about 1 km from the Charles bridge, not more than 12-15 minutes walk. Prague is a wonderful city and has the most beautiful views any time of the year (i have been in Prague in spring, summer and autumn, but I suppose it is beautiful also in the winter). I am looking forward to see this city again and to discover a new part of it, and I would surely come back to Arbes Hotel.

After doing a lot of research on which hotel to stay in Prague I finally settled on the Arbes. As this was my first trip to Prague and I was staying for six days I wanted to make sure that it was the right choice. I can honestly say that it was much more than I imaged it to be. First impression on arriving at the hotel was how clean and modern it was. The staff were very courteous, helpful and spoke exceptionally good English. I had booked a deluxe double room via travelocity. Again it exceeded my expectations. Maid service and fresh towels were provided daily.
The hotel was situated down a side street which was ideal as it was nice and quiet but not to far from the old town which was approx a 10 minute stroll. There is a no smoking policy in the hotel itself which was a plus being a non smoker.
If I can pick one little downside then it has to be the hairdryer in the bathroom. It took ages to dry your hair, so probably better to take your own. Apart from that, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Arbes and would definetly stay there again.

The hotel is in a residential area of the city about a 10 minute walk from the centre of Prague. It is very close to the metro station and trams run regularly outside the hotel. It's a very easy metro & bus ride to get to/from the airport. The rooms were very clean and a reasonable size. Staff were very polite and helpful. Postcards, stamps and metro tickets can be purchased from reception. Breakfast was excellent with a wide range of food to suit all tastes and huge quantities so there was always more than enough to eat. There are several reasonably priced bars & restaurants in the local area but they all seemed to close at around 11pm so don't expect to get a nightcap on your way home. Overall a decent budget hotel within walking distance of the city centre.

As with many others we had booked months before to stay at 'The Atos'. After waiting 15 minutes for our complimentary taxi we arrived at ' The Arbres'. It was past 10 p.m. when we arrived and the bars and restaurants promised by 'The Atos' receptionist were not visible. Clean hotel, basic breakfast with something for everyone to eat, unless you like a full english. There were bars and restaurants away from the city, about 10 minutes walk, and they were great. This was were the locals went, and we had some great food and beers at much lower prices than those we passed as we walked into the city. It's about 15 mins further walk to the sights than 'The Atos', but if you don't mind this then it's a great budget place to stay.

  • Liked — Rooms were clean and not a massive hotel
  • Disliked — Being moved from hotel nearer to the sights and dodgy lift

After having been messed about by the pre-booked hotel (Hotel Atos, if you stay there you risk be moved with no warning), we arrived to a warm friendly welcome at the Hotel Arbes.

Excellent customer service from reception, breakfast room, chambermaids.

Clean, comfortable, excellent value for money.

Easy transport links into the centre of Prague (tram stop just across the road).

Good range of local shops including a big supermarket.

Try the wine cellar across the road for great Czech food at a very reasonable price.
