It was ok with the room, the personnel and the cleanliness. The sleep quality was also good and the value was indeed ok. The location of the hotel is more then perfect, is close to the important sights and the metro station. But the services are for three stars, not for four stars.

Hotel Waldstein is in a perfect part of Prague, close to lots of life but in a very quiet area. Five minutes walk and you are on Kampa Island or the Charles Bridge and only three minutes walk and you are on tram 22 which takes you everywhere. We'll be back. x

This quaint little treasure is ideally located to explore the city to the fullest. Although not comparable with more expensive inns and hotels in the vicinity, you get great value for money if you are happy with what they offer. We had a huge room with separate kitchen and found it perfect for our needs.

Room Tip: Ask for the big room if available, sorry, cannot remember room number.

A great small hotel with individual rooms set around a small courtyard. The rooms were spotless with a small but powerful shower. Breakfast both continental and cooked was great and set in the 14th century wine cellar which we contrary to other reviews we thought was wonderful. (Orange Juice great).. The hotel is set off from the main street down a short cul de sac. Completely silent at night. No passing traffic of any kind. It is situated on the West side of the river just a short walk to the Charles bridge and access to all tourist areas of Old Prague. The reception will book your taxis both to and from the airport and throughout your stay at fixed charges. About £25.00 from airport. This is important as hailing cabs is a hit and miss affair and overcharging is common.

Marie and Jacob at reception were extremely accomodating.

We are late risers and because of the tranquility of the hotel the cackling cleaners would be a sharp wake up at about 07.00 hrs .Their noise would reverberate up the internal coutyard into all the rooms. You need the window open as there is no air conditioning or fan.

Room Tip: Rooms overlooking the front are larger. First and second floors better otherwise you are immediately...

It was a nicely designed hotel and the room was comfortable. Was there a few years ago. The breakfast was in the wine cellar and not so good, the orange juice had the taste of unsweetened Tang, orange and watery.
When we left they wanted to charge us for a call to Romania, but we do not know know anyone there, so they let the charge go. It is on a scenic street in the embassy region and not far from the subway and castle and a short walk to the concert hall.

Had a great stay here for our second honeymoon in April 13. Reception were extremely helpful with all our requests, rooms were beautiful and well priced. The area is also great, easy access to the castle, metro, trams, restaurants and the Charles Bridge.

Breakfast is set in a beautiful cellar, with a decent range of food, that rotates daily.

The only thing I can fault them on is that the night manager did nothing to stop late night parties with groups of kids continuing through until 4am banging around and singing. My wife had trouble sleeping most nights. This would have been a five star review otherwise.
