Stayed 4 nights here and the location is great. Next door you can immerse yourself in the National Gallery for days. The hotel is going through a renovation but that doesn't change the policy of the hotel with large groups.
We spent half the trip being woken repeatedly through the night by screaming and shouting college kids. The size of the this hotel would allow tours being corralled on certain floors but the hotel didn't care. They shrugged their shoulders and told me it was to be expected with large groups.
There are better hotels for the same money around the city and although the staff were generally friendly, they had no interest in looking after smaller bookings as clearly they make their money from tours not individuals.
