Just returned after a wonderful holiday in Prague The Hotel was great and so was the staff. so helpful you only had to ask. We had a lovely room on the first floor, so big and roomy with good views of charles bridge. Tea and coffee ,and fridge (mini bar). beautifully decorated though out and very comfortable.. also it was good that it had an outside terrace as it was so hot when we were there. so you could eat outside. we would like to say a big thank you to Martin Celko and Martin Prucha in reception and the restaurant Heather and Eric

Room Tip: room 11 is such a sunny room and large and spacious

This was everything we could have hoped for on our short city break at Easter.

The staff are welcoming and helpful. The rooms are tastefully decorated and equipped with all you could possibly need. There were little extra touches left for us on several occasions, chocolates, lovely sliced fruit and even some home made biscuits.

Right beside Charles Bridge and easy to get to all the sights by walking or tram.

After dining in the restaurant of this Hotel a few years ago (and having a wonderful meal) my wife and I made a decision that the next time we were in Prague that this would be our first choice in accommodation. This April we returned and were not disappointed! The staff are all excellent, the breakfast is plentiful, the room is massive and clean, and the location is completely amazing - you can't get much closer to Charles Bridge! We loved our stay in this beautiful city and it was made even better by the great atmosphere and personal touches of Pod Vezi. Thank you!

This is a wonderful hotel. Our room was massive and well decorated. We had a huge bedroom plus a separate lounge area with comfortable chairs, table and a desk and a bathroom you could hold a party in. Breakfast was good though I thought the choice of fruit was a bit limited. Dinner at the hotel restaurant was very tasty and as hotel guests 15% was deducted from the bill. Location is everything - we couldn't have asked for better. The stars of the hotel have to be Martin Celko and Filip. They went out of their way to help us when a problem arose. On a couple of days a year Prague old city has a thorough clean up and all cars have to be removed from the area for this to take place. Police check areas and issue fines for those who don't comply. This event happened to occur on the day we were to check out with 2 large suitcases and backpacks and other accumulated holiday stuff. As an apology Martin gave us a voucher for free coffee and cake in the restaurant plus a fridge magnet and a little "adjustment" to our parking bill. He printed a map for us and showed us where we could park our car in an area which wouldn't be cleaned until the next weekend but it turned out to be miles away on top of a hill next to Prague castle so there was no way we would be able to take our luggage there next morning. Filip came to the rescue and when his shift had finished after breakfast offered to drive us and our luggage in his own car to where our's was parked. Thankyou Martin and Filip - I sincerely hope the management appreciates what gems you are . I thoroughly recommend this hotel.

Our family (2 adults+child 3 years old) stayed there in august 2011. In general - great hotel with perfect location for people who want to see central part of Prague. Despite on a lot of restaurants nearby it was always quiet in the night.
Breakfast was always good, we also tried lunch and dinner in hotel's restaurant. Hotel owners also have grape yards, so you can try their wine.
Rooms may be requires some renovation, but very clean. Wifi was always available, they have the same wifi password for all rooms :-)
Definitely, I could strongly recommend this hotel to all who would like to see Prague.

Pod Vezi is an absolute gem. It is situated in a small cobbled, pedestrian area just at the foot of the Charles Bridge. It is literally in the perfect location for visiting all the major attractions in Prague. The staff were amazingly helpful and kind when we stayed and the hotel was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Our room was huge with a seperate seating area, and an enormous en suite bathroom. Every day the hotel brought small gifts to the room such as biscuits, chocolates and fruit. There was a small but delicious breakfast buffet with a range of fruits for fresh squeezed juice, cold meats and cheeses, cereals, toast, pastries, yoghurt, hot food, teas, and coffees. The restaurant also serve lunch and dinner. We had dinner there one night and it was delicious and very reasonably priced. I would definitely stay again and would definitely recommend this as the perfect hotel for a romantic getaway.
