“Fantastic hotel and location”
Reviewed 27 May 2013

This hotel has charm, character, very helpful and friendly staff. Has everything you would need. Location at the end of the Charles Bridge is ideal, just a short walk from the old town in the centre one way and the castle the other way up the hill. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: My broom on third floor was excellent. Any rooms facing bridge would be noisier with people walking...

This hotel is situated on Mala Strana, right at the end of the Charles bridge - very good location. The staff is friendly and will do anything to serve you. The rooms are in two buildings -the room we had was big and the beds were comfortable. The breakfast was good and so was the weather - I am sure we will stay at this hotel the next time we come to Prague!

One of the best hotels i ever have stayed at. The service, the location, the rooms, the cleaning, the breakfast and the staff was great. I don't have anything to complain about. We got a little gift delivered to our room every evening. Pod Vezi must have one of the best locations in Prague. Especially a big thanks to Martin the receptionist who gave us a very warm welcome , he was friendly and very helpful through all of our stay in Prague.

Just back from Hotel Pod Vezi after an excellent stay. We were met on arrival by Martin, one of the professional, sleek reception team. The warmth of his greeting set the bar for our whole stay. A delightful, warm, comfortable and cosy hotel with staff whose mission is to make your stay in Prague as good as it possibly can be. Our room was large and well fitted in a very quiet area of the hotel while the breakfast, taken outside on the raised decking, was ample with lots of variety and delicious, fresh coffee. Food is available until 10 pm which is another bonus when your feet don't want to walk another step! The location is next to the Charles Bridge and great for sight seeing as Prague Castle is also very close. The staff are knowledgeable and keen to help/ advise: after only 4 days we felt as if we were leaving good friends. Don't miss this gem!

Room Tip: Room 320, quiet, large and comfortable.

I can't recommend this wonderful hotel highly enough.

All the staff were all helpful and friendly. Your reception staff were wonderful especially the lovely lady (unfortunately I did not get her name) who helped me with advise on best place to exchange money and transport to train station plus much more.

Our room was lovely and quiet, the bathroom was roomy and had a heater which was great in April and still really cold ... and the Charles Bridge was only at the end of the street.

Breakfast was great and always a good variety.

I can only think of positives about this hotel and if I am ever in Prague again this will be the hotel I will be staying in.

Thank you for a lovely stay in Prague, The Hotel Pod Vezi was a delight.

My husband and I had the pleasure of staying in this boutique hotel at the foot of the St. Charles Bridge. the location is one of the best in Prague. The hotel arranged for our transportaion from the airport to its door. We had no lugging of luggage or waiting around for a schuttle or taxi.
The hotel is tucked away on a quiet street within walking distance to Old Town and all its beautiful sites and wonderful shopping. The rooms are large and nicely furnished. We were lodged in the "annex" and were very pleased.
The staff is remarkable. Unfortunately, when we departed we left our money belt and passports in our room. Upon discovery, the receptionist called us and emailed us immediately with no luck in contacting us. When we finally discovered our carelessness, we were at Cesky Krumlov, two and half hours from Prague on our way to Passeau for a river cruise. Our driver Marek Tovarys of Expedicion helped us with phones calls to the hotel and to the cruise ship. Marek readily agreed to take us back to Prague. (We wholeheartedly recommend Marek and his shuttle service). When we arrived at the hotel, the staff could not have been nicer. We retrieved our precious passports and our money belt with all the money in it.

The hotel restaurant is charming and cozy. The breakfast included in the price was delicious. We enjoy the ambience and service so much during breakfast that we returned for dinner. Our dinners were excellent. I had the roasted duck breast, my husband had the goulash. Both were full of flavor and tender. In fact, the Pod Vezi served us the best meal we had on our trip. We would never stay at another hotel while visiting Prague!

This being my second trip to Prague and as I had not really enjoyed my first I wasn't expecting too much. However this time was different, namely because the Hotel (Pod Vezi)and the warm welcome that we received was unexpected and very welcome.
We had just arrived from a nightmare of an overnight train trip, so tired and very early checking in and yet the staff was very friendly and obliging. Our room wasn't ready and nor did we expect it to be but we were given a complementary breakfast and our luggage was stored. We were given a map and went off for a short walk on the Charles Bridge which is just seconds away.
Our room was soon ready and our luggage had been taken up and our coats hung.
Our room was excellent, the staff friendly and helpful with excellent English and the included breakfast very good.
Between the location, the very comfortable room with a good size bathroom, the tasty meals, the complementary fruit platter and shortbreads, the excellent staff and the value for money, this is decidedly the place to stay in Prague.
