“Only place to stay in Prague”
Reviewed 19 June 2014

Stayed here June 2014. My partner booked 3 nights at the Pod Vezi as a birthday treat for me.
From the moment we arrived Martin at reception went out of his way to give us a very warm welcome. We were upgraded. Our room 122 was spacious and spotlessly clean & very quiet. Water & chocolates were already in our room as a welcome gift. The next day ( my birthday) an ice bucket with champagne and a large bowl of fruit was delivered to our room with the compliments of the hotel with a card wishing me a happy birthday. My partner had not informed them, they had obviously checked the registration cards after we signed in. Personally I thought this was very thoughtful & kind. We returned each day to find chocolates, biscuits and small bottles of wine or champagne had been left in our room as presents.
The staff were very friendly and their local knowledge of Prague's attractions was very useful. They wrote down details for us & we witnessed them doing this for other guests.
The reception also has a small shop where you can purchase essentials you may have forgotten to pack.
We ate at the hotel restaurant several times for both lunch and Dinner and the food was lovely and beautifully presented & very reasonably priced.
The hotel is situated right next to the Charles Bridge, a great location and within easy reach of most attractions. We arranged with the hotel in advance to be picked up from the airport & used this taxi service again when leaving - again very reasonably priced. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough - just fabulous.

Room Tip: Room 122 was in the dependence building across the small cobble road. very spacious, clean & qui...

We stayed here for 3 nights earlier this year and were amazed at the quality of the accommodation (the suites are massive) the room service and the food. As well as a discounted price we were offered a free 3-course meal for two (this was in early Jan). The food was so good we ate there a second night. You couldn't pick a better location for a hotel in Prague - right next door to the Charles Bridge, with easy access to all the sights. Everything about the Pod Vezi was first-class. You must stay here!

.......due in no small way to this lovely hotel at the foot of the Charles Bridge. We spent 3 nights here for my birthday last weekend and the staff here could not have been more helpful. Little touches like chocolates and water in the room, fruit and a bottle of fizz on my birthday just made it that much more special. The rooms are large and airy, clean and simply decorated and the location is superb. A special mention must be made to the 2 Martins on reception, who went above and beyond with their help, tips and advice. They will happily book anything for you, and because the booking has come from a hotel, you get special service from whatever/wherever you have booked. Looking forward to seeing you all again for the Christmas markets!

This was an amazing find (thought I didn't have to look far considering it was #3 on this site), I loved everything about my stay here.

The room was clean, comfortable, beautifully if simply decorated and I would struggle to find a bad thing to say about my experience in them.

I especially appreciated the great service from the two Martin's, their friendly and informative help was great for getting an understanding of the area, both in terms of what to do, where to eat (Kornirna was a favourite), and even some insight into the history of the Country.

We only stayed two days in Prague, and know that when we inevitably come back, we are going to be staying at the Pod Vezi.

Room Tip: The Second building has amazing little Suites, I would definitely suggest those for quiet and comfor...

There is very little I can add to the reviews of this superb hotel. My wife and I stayed for six days in early April. We were met at the station by a delightful driver who informed us that we were staying at the best hotel in Prague. He was right. I could write pages on what contributed to this opinion. There was the warm welcome and continuing excellent service by the staff; the daily gifts to our room; the breakfast included in the rate; 15% reduction for meals at the restaurant; the location close to one end of the Charles Bridge etc. We had a room in the Depandance(annex) building which was just across the square. It was spacious and well equipped. All in all, i would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Prague. You will not be disappointed.

We stayed at Pod Vezi for 4 nights. They provided wonderful taxi service from the airport, the staff was welcoming and spoke great english, and the location of the hotel is in the heart of Prague. Each night a special treat was in our spacious room to welcome us back from our explorations. The breakfast is delicious with fresh fruits, eggs, and always a Czech twist. The staff works very hard and makes Pod Vezi a very special memory in your travels.

Room Tip: Higher up is better to be away from the noise.

We came to Hotel Pod Vezi to celebrate our 5 year anniversary, which we only mentioned in our reservation request online. Not only was the staff incredibly friendly, but they took the initiative to have a bottle of champagne for us when we got to our room! You get a pass into the next-door tower and discount at their cafe. The rooms are clean, tidy, and quiet. All this right in a prime location add up to an amazing stay.
