Reviewed 16 August 2010

This little pension is couple of steps from Prague Castel and Charles Bridge. The building of todays´ Pension was built in 16th century. Pension Dientzenhofer is native house of Kilian Ignac Dientzenhofer. Famous builders and architects of the 17th and 18th century.

The breakfast was excellent vith variety of breds, rolls, ham, cheeses..

We stayed here at the recommendation of a friend. It's a lovely old house right in the middle of Prague, but tucked away so very quiet. We had a suite - hallway, 2 bedrooms (both very large) and a bathroom. Adequately clean, very comfortable night's rest, friendly staff and great breakfast (bread, meats, cheeses, cereals, eggs, yoghurts, fruits ... vast!). If you like an authentic old hotel and don't mind if a few things are a bit old and there are no facilities for making hot drinks in your room, then this is an ideal choice. We loved it.

Excellent pension, the people there are so helpful. The rooms are clean and orderly, and just what a budget minded traveler would appreciate. Breakfasts were typical Continental style, with cereals and boiled eggs as extras. Lots to eat and kept me going until nearly dinner time.
I would definitely stay there again.

Too expensive for a B&B.The girl welcoming us is cute and friendly though. This pension needs renovation , the water for shower was only lukewarm, which cannot be tolerated in October. Room is spacious but not clean enough.

Although we stayed at the Pension Dientzenhofer five years ago the experience still lingers as a bright spot of our many travels. The staff was cordial and efficient. The room was immaculate and comfortable. We had an outstanding view of the charming courtyard. The location was superb: gently tucked away from noise, yet accesible to everything. Breakfast enjoyable in the sun-filled dining area. Price very sensible and less than comps in the area. ( I toured them while I was there.) What else can I say?
When we return to Prague we will lodge here again. I researched on the Internet for several weeks before making the decsion to stay here. ( I did not even read "Trip Advisot" before making the decison!) As you well know, you really never feel secure about a place until you actually stay there... Well, it tuned out to be a terrific choice.I recommend the Dientzenhoeffer without reservation.

The Pension is located in the Mala Strana section of Prague, a stone's throw away from the Charles Bridge and in a quiet neighborhood among foreign embassies.

The Pension is hidden from Nosticova Street and is gated, so you have to ring a doorbell and have the front desk person open the gate.

My room was a pleasant surprise - hardwood floors, exposed beam ceilings, bright sunlight beaming from French windows and huge for a single! It was almost as big as a typical living room.

The front desk person was really easygoing and offered to wake me up by phone since I had to leave really early the next morning. My only regret is that I did not have enough time to enjoy breakfast at this Pension.

There is a computer with Internet connection on the first floor for guests.

I shall return to Dientzenhofer on subsequent visits to Prague.
