Good value for money hotel. 15 mins walk into the main attractions. Clean bedrooms and public areas. Very helpful female receptionist with blonde hair. Nothing was too much trouble for her. All staff could speak English. Would stay again.

Very good hotel in easy walking distance of the historic centre but not immersed in it. Quiet despite being close to a main road. Very friendly helpful staff and spacious clean rooms with good facilities. Could not have been better.

About a mile from the old city of Prague, we had a very pleasant 4 day holiday. Rooms are comfortable, modern appliances, Wifi included and drinks fridge. Also a free cuppa always available.

Hotel offers a free safe which is operated by finger print. Before you make the same mistakes as we did, use your thumb, worked perfectly every time.

We had a 5th floor room with views, worth emailing the hotel well before arrival with a request for a 4th or 5th floor room, views of the castle. Keeps you above the traffic noise and something to look at while having a cuppa.

Super resturant providing good, authentic Czeck food. No funny stuff, no rip offs. no sharp practice you pay the price that's on the menu. Served with a smile, but not the fastest in the world, if the dinning room is busy, you will be waiting for a bit. Be patient, have another glass of wine. It'll be worth it.

Staff are super, they try to accomodate every need. Just read the hotel documentation to see what's on offer. All speak English, but be precise, don't use slang and have a little patience if they've not got what you said the first time. As I said earlier, they are super and they deserve a little curtesy.

The hotel has a bar, if there's a soccer match one, its likely to be on the bar t.v. If its too loud , just ask. Staff are brilliant. Bar prices aren't the cheapest, you can go to super markets if you want to. But they are very reasonable and, as with the resturant, there's no funny stuff.

Tips for Prague:-

1) Get a tram map, if the hotel doesn't have one, the tourist information offices do. Use the trams, they can be value for money.

2) Number 22 tram, runs about every ten minutes or so and takes you to or near most of the places you really need to see.

3) If you don't have too much time, save some, Wencelas Square is little more than a shopping mall.

4) Pack some good walking shoes, you will need them.

5) Consider one of the tours on offer, usually well worth it.

Room Tip: Request floors 4 or 5 via email a few weeks before arrival, keeps you above traffic noise.

Very good comfortable hotel. The room was spacious, clean and had good wi-fi internet access. Plenty storage space in closets!! A very nice safe to store your laptop (spacious) and other precious objects during the day. It's operated by fingerprint so no need to memorize any password!
Didn't use the mini-bar but it wasn´t to expensive (as most hotels) and was well supplied with goodies.
Early 20 century decoration, the room is prepared with a/c and tea/coffee amenities. Bathroom a little small but it's ok for everyday need, although I thought that the body towels were to short/small. Recommend replacing with larger ones.
Very good breakfast, plenty variety! Very good to excellent czech/international cuisine in restaurant and not to pricier. Portuguese and spanish language also spoken (must add this to booking.com remarks).
The only downsize: not walking distance from the old town (20 minutes) but in overall was a enjoyable stay!! Recommend it!

Very good, comfortable hotel. We had a suite of large rooms on four floor, nu 407. Very clean and well furnished in a traditional, comfortable way rather than modern. The staff spoke good English and were helpful. Good breakfast with plenty of choice, with options suitable for vegetarians.
The restaurant is much better than usual for a hotel restaurant. The staff are willing to adapt dishes to suit vegetarians. This is just as well as there are few restaurants in the area. The hotel is situated next to a busy road. Traffic noise is not a problem except for the numerous emergency vehicles.
The hotel is a few minutes walk to the nearest metro station. The nu 22 tram route also runs from this station to the tourist attractions on the other side of the river.

The Green Garden Hotel is a great place to stay. Friendly English-speaking staff is available to give the visitor helpful suggestions. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the hotel is tastefully furnished, though not entirely modern. Free email works well, and breakfast is quite good. You can walk from the hotel everywhere, but to get to any of the interesting places, you first walk through about a 1/2 mile or more of rather uninteresting streets. The closest interesting spot, Wenceslas Square is a 15 minute walk.
