What a little gem close to the centre of Prague .Lovely staff, all of them, but especially Andrea! Thank you! First time in Prague for husband's birthday. Easy to find following hotel's own website. We used public transport from airport as we like travel by public transport on our visits. Nice rooms, very warm and quite, have a kettle and fridge. Breakfast was good, enough to start a day, nice bar. A restaurant was closed for refurbishment, what a shame, because it looked special and gorgeous. We bought hop on hop off from the hotel for 2 days with boats trips inclusive and had a marvellous time!!! Thank you again Andrea! People are special in Prague, everyone was very helpful and really pleasant. We ate in a local restaurant not far from hotel - if you walk towards the Museum on the same side of hotel till supermarket before the Pavlova station then cross the road and walk few yards up the hill - the restaurant serves wild boar, veal & venison plum desert and local spirits - inexpensive and packed with locals - real treat. We spend 2 days in Prague, but loved it so much, it feels like we had a proper holidays!!

Room Tip: We stayed in standard double, second floor - lovely room, not big but cosy. Shower/toilet rooms are special

First of all the, let me say how helpful and friendly the staff at the hotel are (quite rare in Prague). However we as a group were disappointed to find out that the main restaurant was closed for a refurb. We weren't told this at the time of booking, even when I tried to cancel the booking due to our flights being cancelled, there was no mention of it. I feel this was a little underhand especially as so many of the hotel photos have shots of the restaurant and they praise the quality of the food and chef. If you stay, insist on a room at the back of the hotel. I'm not sure what the reference to "sound proofing" is all about, but be prepared for the constant never ending stream of vehicles up and down on the 2 major roads either side of the hotel, and sirens at anytime of night and day. Out of 3 nights there, we never slept properly, despite numerous beers. Breakfast ok. Room ok. Good location. Staff v. good. Would we stay again, not sure.

Room Tip: Insist on a room at the back, or you won't sleep!

Reasonable rooms, well kept and cleaned. Disappointed that the restaurant was closed (and we werent told before we travelled_ Still...the staff were all accommodating and the bar prices very reasonable. Well located being approx 15/20 mins by foot from Wenceslas Square and 5 minutes from the nearest tram stop.

Would have been a 4 rating but for the night time road noise. If you are easily disturbed (fortunately the wife and i arent) then you MUST ask for a room at the back, otherwise the road noise wil disturb you.
Overall though, a reasonable place to stay.

Footnote: if anyone recommends the Cerney Baron for a meal...dont go!

Room Tip: Avoid front if you are easily disturbed by road noise.

What a lovely 8 days in Prague !! It was our first ever holiday there and we loved the city!!! The hotel is in zone 2 of Prague which is just a 15 min walk to the centre ...or you can take tram 22 which is 5 min from the hotel that brings you to the centre!! Tram 22 also brings you all the way up to the castle! We were there for the Christmas holidays and the trams worked very well ...even on Christmas day!! There were less trams on 25 and 26 but you could still get around!!!
The hotel is very nice and the rooms we had, a family suite, where very spacious!!! With kids....you need the extra room!!!! :-) The suite was cleaned daily and I have no complaints at all about the hotel... I would recommend this hotel not only because it's not bang in the centre, so less noise and less touristy ....but also for the very good customer service we received there!! Especially from one of the receptionist.... sorry I forgot your name!! She's blonde and funny ...but above all she can help you with whatever city tips you need !!!! Thank you!!!!!
Around the hotel area there are plenty of 'taverns' which are little restaurants which are half the price of the ones in the city centre!!! Try the Czech food as it's delicious!!!!

Unfortunately it was quite sad to see stores as Debenhams, H&M, Tesco, KFC, TJFriday, M&S all bang in the centre not leaving much space for Czech stores!!!

There are plenty of Christmas markets.... which at the end of the day look all the same!!!! But the food at the markets is not so bad...try cheese products and so on....all fried stuff....not many healthy options.....but you know what? When you're on holiday you can afford to take it easy and eat some local junk food!!!

Food tip: all their potatoes dishes are delicious!! Try them all!!! Also the beef goulash is amazing!!!

A tip for when you go to their restaurants: they call American potatoes what are oven baked potatoes!!! So don't mention oven baked potatoes as they don't have a clue of hat they are!!!

There are also trips you can take outside Prague if you have time.... castles and a church full of bones which is amazing!!!...but for these look at other reviews as there are lots!!

Room Tip: Our suite was 307 and was amazing!!!
